Another Tag for My Stash......

I was into making tags when Joan over at joanscreations.blogspot.com was having the weekly tag challenge on her blog.  I love the idea of having a little extra gift to slip down into a gift bag just for that special someone!  So this morning I have a tag to share with you.

I just love this image of the little boy and girl and they are stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with Ranger Distress Inks.  I cut out the image using a Spellbinders Oval die and added a Spellbinder edge along the right side of the tag.  The tag and decorative edge had been colored with Distress Inks and then sprayed with Pearl Ex Spray.  It gives the tag a sort of aged shimmery look and feel.  I added little flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts that have been colored with Inks and sprayed with the shimmer spray also.

Now this little number will be waiting in my cabinet for just the right time and I will slip it down into a bag to go along to someone special.  I love having cards and gift tags stored up and ready to go.  It seems like that is the only thing I have under control these days.  Life has been tedious at best lately.  It is so hot you can't be outside for any length of time and I'm beginning to feel shut in...Cabin Fever...  The problem is, August is next before we have any sort of cool down.  I checked my flower beds this morning and they are overgrown with weeds!  I spent an hour pulling weeds and I have several more hours of work before they will look normal again.  So I will have to get out early and work a little each day for a few days.  (Not my favorite chore)  Nothing like standing with your butt stuck up in the air for all the neighbors to see...Oh well, maybe they will all sleep in for a few days!

I'm posting early, and I'm off for a second cup of coffee so I can face the day!  Have a great day and if you find yourself outside, with your butt stuck up in the air, just remember to Breathe!

Another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.....

Happy Heartfelt Creations Wednesday everyone!  I'm here this morning to share another little box I have made, this time using Heartfelt Creations products.  If you follow my blog, this is the same box template I used for the sort of Shabby Tea Box I made.  I gave the address for it in that earlier blog.  I just love how this one turned out and the shades of yellow just speak to me!  I hope you enjoy it too.  If  you would like to have the specifics for this box you can go to the Heartfelt Creations Blog and all the supplies and instructions are listed there.  While you are there, have a look around and check out all the gorgeous things the other design team members have made this week!  If you would like to see all the products Heartfelt Creations has to offer you can check it out here:  Heartfelt Creations.

Well I must be off and running...lots to do today!  I've spent two days running errands and I'm hoping I can do a little straightening in the house today.  So have a wonderful Wednesday and remember to visit the Heartfelt Creations sites for lots of goodies and pretties!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 112

Good morning everyone!  It's Wednesday and I'm once again sharing my workdesk for those of you who wish to have a little snoop!  Every Wednesday people from across the globe take pictures of their space and link on Miss Julia's Blog and then we can all have a look at what you have going on in your life.  I'm totally addicted to this madness and so here is my space!  I'm just beginning to work on a project for Heartfelt Creations and you can see some of their stamps and dies at work.  Now I have had several people tell me my space is always neat looking.  To me, this is a mess...it's the only space I have to actually work in and just a little out and I can't find anything!  So for me, this is a mess!  I'm going to be doing some embossing on this project and I have just pulled out my embossing powder.  My scissors are all ready to snip, snip, snip!  And my embossing tools to work on some flowers I'm going to be making.  Of course there is always Rangers Distress Inks and glue sitting around, just waiting to be used.  I actually didn't show the pile of "Stuff" off to the left of the picture.  Some stamp sets and some tape and a couple of sets of dies to be put away!  As long as I have been doing this, and I still can't seem to just let go and show you the whole area.  It must be my raising.....this little voice in the back of my head always gently screaming...."Now...clean that up".  So I'm a closet mess-aholic you see.  I just can't bring myself to let everyone know what a tragic Mess I really am!

That's about it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many blogs as I can...I never seem to make it all the way through, but I keep trying!

One Burgundy Rose.....

Good morning everyone!  It's Monday again and I have to say I'm feeling a little blue this morning.  My Mojo snuck out the side door a couple of days ago and I'm really having withdrawals.  I always feel like there is something major missing in my life when she slips away and I'm always so anxious for her to show back up!

I'm having trouble even making flowers, which is what I have always done in the past to pass the time.  I love making flowers and trying to make them look as real as possible.  So while I rest and wait I wanted to share with you this card I made for Heartfelt Creations...

To make this card I used Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3406 Botanical Floral 1 PreCut Set, HCPC 3407 Botanical Floral 2 PreCut Set, and HCPC 3405 Leaf Medley PreCut Set.  I also used various Spellbinder Dies and  a Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch.

I love this set of stamps from Heartfelt Creations.  It gives so many options for making flowers.  And you know me.....I'm all about the flowers!  I also love using the Spellbinders dies on my cards.  There are so many ways to use them; all you have to do is be a little creative.

Well this is about it for me today.  I have errands to run today, so I will be out of the house a little.  I'm hoping a change of pace and getting out amoung people will help me come out of my slump!  Wish me luck!  Have a great day and remember to "Breathe".

My Finished Tea Box

As you can see, I got a little carried away!  When I was growing up there was a cartoon of a little girl with a dress that was covered entirely with Ric Rac...My Mom called it Ric Rac Raphsody .  And over the years, anything that was just over the top was called that!  What do you think?   I think so.  But once the glue has set, it's too late to change your mind.  I can't imagine this sitting on the counter in my kitchen but I may give it as a gift at Christmas!  Just fill it with tea bags or hot chocolate and slip it down in a gift bag and you are all set.    I used Spellbinders Foliage dies to cut out leaves and shaped them with an embossing tool after I sprayed them will shimmer mist.  The rest is flowers and leaves from Wild Orchid Crafts and of course a few stamen stuck here and there!  I plan to do more of these, but not Ric Rac Raphsody so that it can sit on a counter and not collect so much dust!

Have a great Thursday...I'm just hanging out today.  No major chores...I'm sort of tired and just need a good rest.  It's so hot here and I just can't bring myself to get outside for more than a few minutes.  So I plan to relax and recharge before I start again!

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.....

Good morning blogger friends!  We have made it to Wednesday one more time.  Since it is Wednesday It's time to share another Heartfelt Creations card with you.  It seems like I say this every Wednesday and I don't mean to sound like a broken record; but it is what it is!  Personally, I just love Wednesday because I get to show you something else that I just love!  I hope you like it too!

The Heartfelt Creations products I used were:  HCPC 3405, HCPC 3406, HCPC 3407 and HCPC 3409.  You can find these PreCut Sets at Heartfelt Creations.  I just love this new release this month, don't you.  The stamps can be used in so many ways and I just love making flowers with them!  All of the Heartfelt Creations stamps are such good quality you will never be unhappy with a purchase!  If you are interested in all the details for my card you can go the Heartfelt Creations Blog.  My card is posted there as well as all the other beautiful creations the rest of the design team came up with!  You can also visit their blogs by clicking on their names on the right hand side of my blog.  Go check them out....you won't be sorry!

Now I have chores to do so I must get moving.  You know....A woman's work is never done"!  It's so true!
I'm hoping to have a little time this afternoon to create a little.  If not...maybe tomorrow.  Come on back in the morning and we will have coffee together and I'll share another little goodie with you!  Have a great day and remember to "Breathe"!

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday 111

Good morning ladies, it is once again time to join in this madness of Julia's and show everyone my mess!  You can go along over to Julia's Blog ad see what all this hustle is about!  Every Wednesday we take a picture of our creative space and link it to Julia's blog so that the whole world can see.  I must admit that some days I'm so ashamed to let you see but I've become quite addicted to this madness and must follow along each Wednesday that I can.  Sometimes I go ahead and take a picture when I've been doing something because most Wednesdays I'm in between projects and my actual workspace is so small, I must give it a good cleaning before I start another!

I have been working on a tea box!  I've been seeing these on several blogs and it is such a cute idea .... so I just had to give it a try.  If you have an interest, you can find the PDF file here:  http://www.andreawalford.com/projectideas/teabagholder.pdf      The box on my desk is done with watercolor paper because it is more sturdy than regular cardstock.  I just wanted to see how the instructions worked and it worked just fine!  I'm hoping to do several of these for Christmas gifts!  I also have some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and some Spellbinders leaves to help decorate the top of my box.
Well that's about it for me this morning.  I'm going after my second cup of coffee and then I'm off to travel the world and check in on everyone's desks!  Have a great day!

A Little Tag Gift.....

Good morning bloggers!  I hope everyone is feeling sassy this morning!  Our weather is quite warm, but after all it is July and East Tennessee is well known for it's hot and steamy summer days!  We have been having thunder showers each afternoon with quite a bit of lightening.  It's beautiful, but quite dangerous!

I want to share with you this morning the tag I made for Heartfelt Creations.  The Heartfelt Creations Stamps I used were HCPC 3409, HCPC 3405 and HCPC 3407.  You can go to the link above and get all the details for this little number.  I think I must have used every product I own on this one; but I do love the shabby look and feel of it!  If you make one of these, you could tuck it inside a gift bag and write a message on the back side of the tag.  I think they make lovely little gifts just on their own!

Well that is about it for me today.  You know the drill...Monday...laundry, dust, mop, etc.etc......
and maybe, just maybe......a little smidgen of time to create!  Gotta love the last part!  Oh yes, and remember to ....."Breathe"!

Roses and a Butterfly.......

Good morning people!  We have another week under our belts.  This has been a busy week for me and suddenly I looked around and the weekend is upon us!  Before we rush headlong into the weekend, I want to share another card with you.  I used stamps from Heartfelt Creations on this one too.  (HCPC 3407 Botanical Floral 2 PreCut Set)   I also used Spellbinders Dies, Rose Creations, Grand Labels Four and Fanciful Flight to cut out the roses and the butterfly and to make the base of the card.

Some of you have been asking what kind of paper I used to make the roses.  I'm afraid I can't be very helpful on this one.  I found this card stock at Hobby Lobby and there is no name label on it other than the color of the card stock.   It has a sheen to it and can be difficult to stamp onto, but I used my heat gun to dry the ink and then it did just fine.  It makes gorgeous flowers and shapes beautifully and I do love the sheen it has. I just spritzed the petals with a little water and then curled them the way I wanted them to look.   You know me ... I love that little bit of glitz on any project!

Well, that is about it for me this morning.  I have a full day ahead of me...lots of laundry and chores to do.  So remember, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, find a little time and "Breathe"!

A Tri-Fold Card.....

Good morning bloggers!  I have another card to share with you this morning.  It is one I did for Heartfelt Creations awhile back that I didn't show you yet.  I used HCPC 3404 Wedding Sentiment Precut Set, HCD Decorative Butterfly Border die, HCPC 3392 Bella Rose House Precut Set and HCD 701 Posy Patch Die.  I used various Spellbinders dies also, along with distress inks, shimmer sprays, and some of Mariposa Papers.  For such a small card, 4" X 4", it was quite labor intensive but I love how it turned out.  It's actually kind of "busy", but it just struck a cord with me.  If you would like to have any of these stamps you can find them here:  Heartfelt Creations

I'm not going to get into too many of the details on this as I was just really concentrating on making the little flowers on the front.  The rest of the card just sort of fell into place.  You know, how when you do one thing and you think, that would look nice with this and then you are off to the races.  Well that is really what happened here.

We awoke to intense storms this morning with lots of lightening, rain and wind.  We were so very hot yesterday it really made the atmosphere unstable, hence the storms!  Looking for 96 again today and it will be so steamy too!  Have a wonderful day and remember to Breathe!

For He loves us with unfailing love........

Good morning bloggers!  I hope you are doing well, it's all good here.  This morning I want to share another card I made using this little Magnolia Stamp and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts!  I think this little dear is so cute standing there holding her little flower (I made it a sunflower).  I colored the image with Distress Inks and sprayed the white flowers with some of my homemade Pearl Ex spray.  The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations and the design paper and card stock are from Hobby Lobby.  I think this would make a wonderful "Encouragement" card and plan to add to my stash so it will be ready when I need it!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend planned and that your weather is good.  We don't have any special plans; just going with the flow...that's what old people do!  So wherever you are and whatever you are doing, find a moment and just "Breathe"!

Another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.....

Since we had a holiday on Monday, this week is just flying by!  Suddenly it's hump day and we are about to be on the down hill slide!  This morning I have another card I made for Heartfelt Creations.  It is such a great experience to be a part of this very talented design team.  Working with these girls is such a wonderful opportunity for me and working with these stamps is a dream come true.  Working with these stamps just makes me Happy!   Here is my card:

This is my first attempt at a step card, so be kind.  You can read all about what I did and the products I used at the Heartfelt Creations Blog.  You can also see all the other beautiful creations from the design team members.  You can visit their individual blogs by clicking on their names in  the right hand column of my blog.

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and find a little corner and take time to "Breathe"!  May your day be filled with joy!

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday? 109

Good morning all you partakers of the WOYWW!  Welcome to my little mess!  I have been kind of hit and miss lately and am really trying to put forth an effort to get back on track!  I love doing this post and then going to Stamping Ground (Miss Julia's Blog) and looking at all who have linked there.  You get a little window into all the other people's lives and it's really a great thing to see what all is going on all over the world!

Last week I went to Hobby Lobby and found the little white shelf here center stage on my desk!  I just love this thing and am putting glues and shimmers in it to keep them off my work space.  There is even a little drawer in front to hide some little goodies too!  I'm loving it and plan to make good use of it!  Also you can see my new shaker of glitter (Fairy Dust Glitter) from Donna Salazar.  I just love this stuff and of course I'm wearing it in my eyebrows as we speak!  Also you can barely see the little Maggie I have ready to color.  I'm anxious to get started on this little beauty, but she will have to wait a day or two, as I have so many other chores to keep me busy for a few days.   I also took my picture yesterday afternoon in order to be able to get my post ready to go in time to participate, hence the glass of tea, instead of coffee.

Well this is all for me this morning.  Have a great day and I'm off to check out some of the other workdesks and see what I've been missing!

Hope you hade a wonderful and safe holiday.......

I just love the 4th of July and all the fun involved!  But today it is time to get back to the grind.  First I want to wish my daughter a Happy Birthday!  The year she came into our lives I awoke on the 4th of July ready to do family get togethers, but it was pouring rain.  I got out of bed and my water broke!  We spent the whole day in the hospital and at 3:23 the following morning Tracie came into our lives!  Happy Birthday sweetie!

I also want to share another birthday card I made for one of my grandsons.  I'm way ahead of the game now...this birthday isn't until August!  I'm so proud of myself.

I colored my image with distress Inks and used glitter glue on his wings.  This card is for the youngest of my grandsons.  They are all growing up fast and soon these kinds of cards just won't do.  But I have had so much fun with them over the years.  Instead of boyish cards, now I will have to do manly cards.  With the passing of this birthday, I step into the world of squeaking voices and looking up at these guys instead of down at tow headed boys...sniff!  The oldest will be 15 in October and gets his driving permit!  So glad that is someone else's chore.  My nerves wouldn't tolerate a teenage driver!

Well this is about it for me this morning.  Come on back tomorrow and we will share a cup of coffee and my card for Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!

Happy 4th of July!

Good morning all you stampers out there!  I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend and that today is a special one for you!  Please have a safe and happy 4th of July and I hope you get to spend time with friends and family!  This morning instead of sharing a new card I'm going to post some of the pictures of my favorite cards and projects.    I hope you come back tomorrow and we will get back into "The Grind" together!

See you tomorrow!............
