Winner of Blog Candy and New Card Post....

Thanks everyone for making this Candy a success!  I wanted to gain some new friends and that is exactly what happened.  I'm not going to bore you with pictures of folded names in a bowl with my husband's hand stuck in there...  We did all that and the name he pulled out is........Becky Spinks!!  Congratulations girl!  Email me with your address and I will get these goodies off to you very soon!

My card I'm sharing with you this morning is another one I made using the new Chateau Gate Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  Here in the South, we have had very little cold weather this winter, but my heart is tuned into Spring.  This card reminds me of window boxes and makes me yearn for warm breezes and green grass.  Our grass is still somewhat green, but we have had so much rain everything is squeeshy (is that a word) outside.  Lots of brown and mud to go around.

If you want to get all the products used and the instructions for my card just head on over to the Heartfelt Creations blog and look around.  My card is listed there with all the particulars.

So what do you have on your agenda today?  A hundred years ago when I was a girl Monday was wash day.  Everything was stripped and washed and hung on the line to dry....even in January.  We had an old Maytag wringer washer that set on the porch and it would chug and chug, but got the clothes clean. Everybody had a clothes line behind their house because there were no dryers yet.   I've gone to the line in January or February to take the wash in and it would be frozen to the line.  The wind would have blown the clothes dry except for where the clothes pins were.  So you just pulled it apart from the line and took it all in.  How's that for a walk down memory lane?  I still have a clothes line behind our house.  Still a country girl through and through.  I don't hang anything outside now because it just doesn't dry, but in summer I love the fresh clean smell of sheets that have blown gently in the breeze.  Don't try this if you have allergies....it will kill you!

Ok, that is it for me today.  I hope you don't mind my wandering around in my memories a little.  It actually brought a smile to my face today.  So whatever you have going on or wherever you may wind up today, try and take just a moment and "Breathe"!

I do remember how wringer washer and put rubber diapers through that wringer diapers and explodes, and garments sometimes get stuck going around and around and around those wringers. I remember having to disassemble the whole wringer head to get something untangled. and I ruined a couple of shirts
Did you ever get anything caught in a wringer?or ruined a couple of shirts? Thanks for the reminders .

Glenda this card is gorgeous. Your coloring is always so perfect. Yes, I do remember those days of using the wringer washer and hanging out clothes. We used to have a bulldog that loved to chew on my heals every time I went out to hang up the clothes. For some reason he didn't like me doing that.

This card is beautiful and reminds me of spring too! I really like how you sponged color onto the die cut to give it a vintage look.

Congrats to Becky!

Beautiful card and I love your coloring! We never had a wringer washer, but I sure remember hanging the clothes out on the line for Mama. I have allergies now so I don't hang clothes out anymore, but there is nothing like that smell and feel of clothes off the line!

This is sooooo pretty, Glenda! Gorgeous die and such a pretty floral stamp. You have done a lovely job on this! Enjoyed the walk down Memory Lane, too. My mom would pull an old wringer washer from the back porch into the kitchen and hook it up to the sink. She cried with joy when my Dad surprised her with a new fangled automatic washer.

Lovely card! You showcase these new dies so well!
I grew up with a clothes line too! Since I'm lucky to get the laundry done period, I'll just stick with the washer/dryer routine!! haha. And with that thought, I'd better go start another load!

Glenda, your card is absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations to the winner of your candy. I bet she is super excited.
My Mom is still using mostly the wash line. Only towels and linen go into the dryer.
