A Christmas Ornament.......

Good morning everyone!  Here we are again at the very beginning of a brand new week!  I'm here to share with you a Christmas ornament I have made.  It could also be just a tag you tuck down inside a gift bag.  I love tags and so this piece shall probably be used as a tag for the upcoming holiday season!

This is such an easy project; I let my Spellbinders dies do most of the work for me.  I used the Heirloom Ornament die for the base and I went around the edges with a gold leaf pen.  Next I cut out the Layered Poinsettia petals using light pink card stock and while the card stock was still in the die I used distress ink to add the veins.  I didn't have to stamp anything on the flowers.  I stamped the sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink  on pink card stock then I cut it out using the Lacey Circle Spellbinders die.  The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3429 Wisemen Ornament PreCut Set.    Then just tie a ribbon through a punched hole in the top of the ornament, tie some knots in the ribbon and I used Scor-Tape to hold into place on the tag.  I love the way this turned out and it only took a very few minutes.  The most time was spent trying to find my gems to go in the center of the flower and under the sentiment.

Burst of Splendor Tag.....

Good Friday everyone!  Are you ready for the weekend?  I certainly am!    This morning I'm here to share a tag with you I made using the Burst of Splendor collection.

Let me begin by apologizing for the terrible picture.  Squint a little and maybe it will look better!  My photography skills are not very good and this picture does not do this justice.  If you would like the details of this tag so you can make one yourself, just head over to the HC blog and it is listed there.   I mostly let the gorgeous papers do the work for me on this one.

OK that's it for me today.  I hope you find time to do something you love today.  I'm hoping to find time to play in my craft room.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Not the very best picture to be sure, but you can see that I'm making flowers and working on some elements for a card.  I have cut out some Spellbinder's dies and have my ink all ready to go for the flowers.  And of course at this time of day, my trusty cup of coffee with lots of creamer!  So what is going on in your world?  If you would like to play along, just take a picture of your space and blog about it and then link it over at Julia's blog.  I'm trying to keep this short and sweet, so now I plan to go and visit as many of the blogs listed as I can!  See you soon!

Heartfelt Creations Products Used:
HCPC 3550 Dahlia Bouquet PreCut Set
HCPC 3363 Inspire Me Sentiments PreCut Set
HCD 702 Decorative Butterfly Border Die
Other Supplies: Spellbinders Labels 10, ribbon, Ranger Distress Inks, Viva Décor Pearl Pen, dimensional tape, Memento Ink, Canson watercolor paper, green cardstock, green ribbon, glue, Scor-Tape
Instructions:   Card Size 5 3/4" X 5 3/4"
Make card base using Canson watercolor paper for strength and stability.  Stamp the image onto a piece of watercolor paper and color using distress inks.  Stamp the sentiment and cut out using the die and while it is still in the die use a sponge and some distress ink to color the piece.  Cut out the die to make the piece to go under the sentiment using green cardstock.  Next I used the Viva Décor Pearl Pen to add some shine to this piece.  Once dry I layered the sentiment over this and taped down.  I adhered it to the card using dimensional tape.  I twisted a piece of the silk ribbon to give it a little interest and taped it to the bottom of the image piece.  Next I tied the bow and taped it to the bottom of the card as well.  Layer this with a green piece of cardstock and tape to the front of the card base and it is ready to go.

Now go on over to the HC blog and look around.  I'm sure you will be truly inspired; there is so much talent on this team it just blows me away!  Before you leave the blog, remember to leave a comment to be entered into the drawing for the whole release!  How cool is that?

Fancy Fold Card.......

I  am here this morning to share another card with you that I have made.  This one has a little bit of a fancy fold to it and I really like the concept.

I have no idea what this fold is called but it folds behind the center piece and becomes a 4" X 6" card.  When you open it up like it is presented above, it becomes a 6" X 12" card.  I saw this on Pinterest and just had to try it.  I really like the different folds but seldom try them, so this is something a little different for me.

Do you use fancy folds on your cards?  What is your favorite?  Sometimes we need to do a little something different to keep us on our toes.

Well I know this is short and sweet this morning but I just wanted to run through and share this with you!  We are expecting sunshine in these parts today and we are all so excited!  I'm hoping to get to spend some time outdoors just soaking it in.  It seems it has rained for a solid week and I'm in great need of some light therapy!

Have a great day!

Hugs

Happy Birthday Dear Daughter!!

Good morning everyone!  Did you enjoy the 4th of July?  Good food, family and fun?  Do you still have the rest of the weekend to do what you love?  A lot of people have a 4 day weekend.  We have had so much rain in these parts that most of us just sat and watched it rain.  It reminded me of a rainy 4th of July many years ago when I spent the whole day in the hospital having my daughter.  We kept thinking she was gonna be a firecracker but she waited until the wee hours of the morning on the 5th to make her appearance in this great big old world.  Happy Birthday dear daughter!  Although it has been many years, it seems like only yesterday and I can still remember her sweet little face the first time I saw her.  Some things a mother never forgets.

This morning I want to share another project I did for Heartfelt Creations.  This has nothing to do with my daughter's birthday, but I wanted to share.

Yes, that's right.... a Christmas tag!  We better start now, if we want to have a jump on the holidays.  They will be here before you know it; so like it or not, I begin now!

If you would like to see a list of products used and the instructions for making this easy tag, just head over to the Heartfelt Creations blog.  It is listed there with everyone's projects for this week.

Well I guess that does it for me today.  Do you have more wonderful plans for the rest of the holiday?  As for me, I'm still playing catch up from when my back was in such bad shape and I will be playing in my craft room!  I really fell behind and I went into craft shock from not being able to sit long enough to do anything.  My craft is so important to me and so now I play!

Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.....

Here we are again in the middle of the week and I am here to share another creation I have made for Heartfelt Creations. I love having you visit me so bring your favorite morning beverage, pull up a chair and we will chat awhile!

We all have these lying around our homes and in our cars.  Old Cd's that no longer work can become a thing of beauty.  I turned this one into a pretty piece that can become a wall hanging or a pretty ornament for your tree.

If you would like to have the products used and the instructions for this altered CD, just head over to the HC blog and have a look around.  There are several creations displayed there this morning and you are sure to be inspired.

As always if you would like to visit the designer's blogs, just click on their names on the side bar and that will take you to their individual blogs.  Look around and be sure and leave them a comment.  We all love hearing from you!

OK, that does it for me this morning!  I will be spending the day in my craft room as we have more rain in the forecast.  So no matter where you are today, or what you find yourself doing, take a moment just for you and breathe!

Down For the Count and my Devil Dog!

I have been struggling for a week with lower back issues.  I'm beginning to come around but have not been able to sit at my craft desk until yesterday.  I'm behind on all my crafting projects and will have to play catch up in the next few days.  So.....I do not have a card to share with you this morning.  I do, however, have a picture of my devil dog to show you.

Just a sweet little dear with a moist little nose; who is badly in need of a groomer.

And then here is the true Bella...just completely full of herself and wide open from morning till night.  She is so much company for Maggie and me and we have grown to love her even if her eyes are red!  Devil dog.....or Sweetie Pie...the jury is still out!  We are slowly and surely learning the joys of grooming.  It is a battle each and every day that I cannot let her win as we start to brush and trim.  I do a little each day so she can get used to everything but she is a wiggle wart and is kind of straggly looking right now.  I have been introducing the clippers and she will let me clip the hair on the pads of her feet.  However, stay away from her ears and face.  A couple of days ago she was sitting so still while I placed the clippers against her head so she would get used to the noise and the vibration.  She was doing so well I thought I would clip at the base of her snout just between her eyes.  Just as I had the clippers positioned, she jerked right into the blades and cut a big old gap in her bangs.  So now we are waiting for that to grow out.

Well that does it for me this morning.  I'm sorry I didn't have a card to share with you, but come back on Wednesday and I will have a card I made for Heartfelt Creations.  As I slowly get back to being me, I will begin to post on my regular Monday, Wednesday, Friday routine again.
