Moving Forward.....

Hope you all survived Turkey Day and are ready to start the march to Christmas!  I had a wonderful evening with lots of food and family and a good time was had by all.  Now we move forward!

This tag is made using stamps, papers and dies from Heartfelt Creations.  I think it has a quiet elegance to it.

OK people, let's get cracking!  Are you headed to the Mall for the Black Friday sales?  No me...I'm afraid I might have to hurt someone!  I'm very content to be here in my pj's and slippers watching it all on TV.  My tree is up and decorated, most of the gifts are purchased and ready to wrap, I'm totally in the holiday spirit and I'm poised to start making cookies and candy. How's that for being organized?  I'm just too old for it to be any other way!

OK this is it for me this morning.

Have a wonderful day and no matter where you find yourself, or whatever you are doing, take a little moment of time and ....... "Breathe"!

Another Christmas Card Using Red and Green.....

Good morning everyone!  It is bitter cold here in East Tennessee this morning and the bad weather is on it's way.  I think it is mostly supposed to be rain but you just never know about Mother Nature.  The cold is in place just waiting on some moisture which could make for a white Thanksgiving if we aren't careful!  This morning we are sitting at a cold 23 degrees.  We are supposed to reach 40 degrees today and I hope we do.

I'm here this morning to share with you a card that was totally inspired by Becca Feeken www.amazingpapergrace.com .  She made a most beautiful card using the Spellbinder's "Corner Flourish" and it set my mind to racing with the possibilities!

And yes, there is my little bird again!  I just love this die and will be using him on more of my cards so you will definitely see him again!

OK that does it for me this morning.  My wish for you today is joy!

Another Christmas Card for my Stash........

Happy Friday everyone and welcome to the beginning of another wonderful weekend!  I'm here this morning to share another Christmas card I have made.

This is a 5 X 7" card using lots of Spellbinders dies as well as some from Heartfelt Creations and my little bird from Memory Box.    The sentiment is a retired Stampin-Up set that I love!

I will be sharing cards I'm making for my family and neighbors and friends and hope you find some inspiration from me.  The Holidays are about to be upon us so we all need to get a wiggle on and get these cards finished!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

WOYWW 233

Good Wednesday Morning everyone and it's WOYWW 233.  I know most of you already know what this is but if not just go over to Julia's blog and have a look around. She has a page at the top of her blog that tells you all about.  Actually we just take a picture of our mess, blog about it and then link that to Julia's blog.  Now we can visit each other's desk and see what we have going on.

This is just one corner of my desk this morning.  Lots of Spellbiders dies pulled out to be working on Christmas Cards.  To the extreme left on top of a baby wipes box sits my crochet thread that I have been using to make handing strings for some ornaments I'm making.  A stapler, jar of mineral spirits, glue,  and my jar of Liquitex .  Now this is about as messy as I can stand it.  I begin to have things slipping off ... Oh and there is a little sheet of half pearls that just really needs to be put away.

OK  this does it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit,  have a wonderful day!

Oh Holy Night.....

Good morning everyone.  I hope you are ready to face this Monday!  I'm here this morning to share with you a Christmas Card I made using some My Minds Eye paper and Heartfelt Creations Stamps.

This card is 6" X 6" and I made an envelope for it using my Punch Board from We are Memory Keepers.  I love this thing and have used it so many times already.  I hope you like this card as much as I loved making it.  The colors are a little un-traditional but I love all the layers and distressing on the edges.

Well that does it for me this morning.  I'm off to check out some of my cyber friends and see what they are doing this morning.

WOYWW 232

Good morning everyone and welcome to WOYWW 232.  Now if you don't have any idea what this means, just head over to Julia's blog and she explains everything there.   Actually many of us like minded crafters take a picture of our work space and blog about it, then we link it to Julia's blog then we have this sort of huge blog hop.  I love getting to look at everyone's space and see what everyone has been doing.  It is very addictive so be very careful how you handle this!

To me it looks like a bomb went off.  I always try to keep it a little better than this.  But there actually is some method to my madness.  I'm working on a Christmas card and I just can't seem to decide which direction I want to go.  When my desk starts to look like this is when I lose something really important.  And it sort of makes me feel anxious!  Like I'm about to miss something....

OK I've shown you mine, you show me yours!  I'm off to look and visit some of your desks this morning....I know, I know I should finish this card, but maybe later!

Monday Morning and Another Holiday Tag

Good Monday morning and welcome to my world!  I'm afraid this morning is filled with an 11 year old Yorkie barking at a 10 month old Yorkie and I have to say Maggie's ear piercing bark is about to get the best of me!  Pardon me while I settle them down...Now that is much better.  Thank you for stopping by and I will try and present with little darlings at my side.  Of course they would never do anything to upset their Mom so early in the morning.

Whew, glad that is settled.  Now I can have my first cup of coffee and show you a tag I have been working on!

Yes, I know these a little different for Christmas but I love the look this has.  I have a brass stencil of these ornaments from 2004 (Lynell Harlow)...that's all I remember about this one.  Anyway I used my Liquitex Modeling Paste and made this wonderful holiday tag.  I started with a tag made out of watercolor paper for strength and stability and rubbed distress ink into it to give the background the color I wanted.  Next you tape the stencil down into place and spread your Liquitex over it until you achieve a thin even layer of paste.  Now pull up the stencil and let the paste dry and you have this wonderful white design against the darker background.  I may try one of these with a green background as well but I have to say I do love the look of this one.  The sentiment is from Flourishes and the name of the set is "Warm Winter Wishes".

Well this sums it up for me this morning...we are sitting at 31 degrees and it feels like winter may be approaching.  Have a wonderful day and no matter where you are or what you are doing, find some time to do something you love and breathe!

White on White With a Pop of Color.......

Good morning everyone! We are about to go sliding into another weekend.  We are quite cold here this morning; 30 degrees feels really cold to me.  I actually heard the word Snow for the forecast for next week!
I'm here this morning to share another card I made.  I'm really on a Christmas kick, but then again it will be here before we know what happened.  I haven't even started shopping so I really need to kick it into gear!

My card is a white on white card with just a pop of pink and green.   Canson watercolor paper, embossing folders, Spellbinders dies and a sentiment from Stampin Up.    It seems like I want to put these pretty words on every thing I do these days.  I just love the elegance of it.

OK that does it for me this morning.  Hope our Friday is a good one and that you are all set for the weekend!

WOYWW 231

Good morning all you quirky WOYWW ers out there.  And I say this with lots of love.  Love for crafting, love for sharing, love for peeping....and speaking of peeping...here is my desk this morning.

I am playing some more with Liquitex Modeling Paste and I have to say, I find this technique quite impressive!  I have so many old brass stencils from way back when I first started crafting and now I have found a new and gorgeous use for them!  There's my ever present Spellbinders dies and of course my cup of coffee.  After all it is the middle of the night!  OK now, I've showed you mine...show me yours.

If you have any questions or concerns just head over toJulia's blog and have a look around.  She gives lots of answers.  Actually we just take a picture of our desks, then blog about it, and link on her blog.  Then you can see every one's blog and what they are doing in their world!  It's so addictive...I just can't seem to stop!

OK, I'm off to visit as many of you as I can...see you there!

Monday Morning......

Good Monday Morning everyone!  I'm here this cold morning to share a Christmas tag with you.  I love the colors on this and will probably be making more with this color combination.  I also want to tell you that I am finally posting some items to my Etsy Shop.  I opened that little store in 2010 and am just now getting around to listing some items there.  I have moved my Etsy banner up near the top of my side bar so you can just click on the link and go sailing off to my shop.  I am just getting started and hope to have many more tags and cards as well in the near future.  So I hope to see  you there!

November......

Well as I slept we just fell right into November!  Before you know it Thanksgiving will have come and gone and we will be heading straight for Christmas.  I'm here this morning to show you card I made and it was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest.  Sorry I can't remember where exactly so I can't give proper credit but it was not my whole idea.  I did try and make it mine somewhat so that I wasn't totally copying the card.

I Googled Santa and came up with this free  picture.  The little bird and the word Believe are from Heartfelt Creations .  Then you know me, I always think I have to use Spellbinder's dies on everything and there you have it.  I love the look and may make another one or two to go into my stash.

Well that does it for me this morning.  Hope you are ready for the weekend cause it is barreling down on us!

I will be back on Monday with another little pretty to share with you.  Have a great weekend!
