What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday #308......

Good morning everyone and welcome to my little world!  I'm here to celebrate another Wednesday and a visit to my desk top!  You are all welcome here this morning.  Just step over the mess and come on in.  Stop in the kitchen and get a cup of something or other and lets have a little visit!

This little get together is sponsored by Julia Dunnit; this is her little bit of madness and I'm so addicted that I don't know how I'd manage without this little visit each week!  If you might like to play along in the world wide blog hop just go over to Julia's blog and she has all the rules and regulations listed at the top. We would love to have you join us!

Just about every flat surface in my craft room looks like this.  I'm working on some cards and I have the current ongoing mini-album in the works as well. Designer papers everywhere and lots of lace and bling and do you think 3 pairs of scissors is enough?  For me this clutter has to go.  I can't think straight when it begins to look like this.  I will have to put some things away before I go any further so I don't lose something important!  Do you see my pretty purple flowers?  Purple is my most recent favorite color! I know, I know...I'm fickle but I love this deep purple today.  Who knows what tomorrow will bring!

Well that's about it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many desks as I can.  Have a happy Wednesday!

April Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to this month's Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop!  I love being a part of this hop and always look forward to showing my designs for Heartfelt Creations.  These ladies are a talented bunch and I'm sure as you follow along the hop you are going to be inspired!

If you arrived here from Ujjwal Gupta's  blog you are right on track and remember to leave a comment on as many of our blogs  as you can because you never know which blog will have the winning comment. You could be the winner of a $25 gift certificate for product from Heartfelt Creations.  You have until midnight on Friday May 1st. to leave a comment and the winner will be announced on Saturday May 2.

I covered the tag in the pretty Burst of Splendor paper and added the flower trim and bling along the bottom.  I cut out the flower and colored it, then used Glossy Accents to give it lots of shine.  The center is Gold Gala Glitz and it is placed on a pretty accent piece cut out of green card stock.  I then cut out the tag and stamped my sentiment.  Quick and easy and it packs a punch!

Sarah Miller is next on the list for you to visit! Now remember to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can because the more comments you leave the more times you are entered in the give away!  Good luck to you all!

Monday Morning....

Good morning everyone.  I'm waving to you as I run through my craft room this morning on my way to the great outdoors!  The sun is shining and I have lots of things to do outside.  Spring clean-up seems to take longer and longer for me.
I do a little and rest a lot!  I'm trying to get my flowers in and my veggie garden planted.  Today I want to see if I can find some tomato plants to go in once it dries just a bit.  We have had lots of Spring rains and we could use a bit of drying time.  Meanwhile the grass grows and so do the weeds.

I don't have a card to share this morning but I do want to remind you to play along with the challenge at  The Sisterhood of Crafters.  The challenge this time is "Monochromatic".  Come play with us, I'd love to see what you create.

Also tomorrow is the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop for April so be sure and come back in the morning and see my creation!  I do many things but my heart belongs to Heartfelt Creations!

So that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to start my day!

A New Challenge for The Sisterhood of Crafters....

Good morning everyone!  I'm here this morning to share a card I made for the brand new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters!  Our challenge this time is from Darlene and it's MONOCHROMATIC (Any Color)  I don't do many projects this way but I had so much fun creating this card for the challenge.

I used the same color on the card base as I used on the flowers.  This was great fun to make.

Now get busy and create something wonderful!  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

I hope you will join in our fun at The Sisterhood of Crafters.  We have a new challenge the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:

Julia Dunnit is the hostess of this hop and you can go to her blog to get all the details.  I love doing this on Wednesdays and it is the perfect mid week get together.  I'm totally addicted and don't know how I managed before I found this blog.

I've been making flowers and butterflies to go in my next mini album and these are all from Heartfelt Creations.  You can also see some of the lace and card stock I'm using.

OK that does it for me this morning.  Come along and join us if you like. Everyone is welcome.  Now I'm off to visit as many of you as I can!

Blue Butterfly.....

Good morning everyone.  We are having lots of rain here this morning after having thunderstorms overnight.  Spring is here!  Here we are at Monday and starting a brand new week and I'm here to share with  you a card I made using some pretty paper and a Heartfelt Creations die.  (HCD1 713  Decorative Lace Border Die).  I love this die and use it a lot of different ways.  Here I have just the edges peeping out on the edges of my card face.

I cut out one of the butterflies on the pretty paper and used Wink of Stella to give it some shine and I added color to the flowers using Ranger Distress Ink.  Now my card is ready to go.

That's all for me this morning.  Hope you have a good day and that you remember to take a moment just for you and "Breathe"!

WOYWW # 306

Good morning everyone and welcome to my corner of the world.  I'm showing you  my work space this morning through Julia Dunnit's blog hop.  Each Wednesday we photograph our work space and then link up to Julia's blog and then we can visit each other.  It's quite addicting and I find if I have to miss it for any reason, I feel like the best part of my Wednesday has slipped away.

This is all I can show you this morning.  I've started a new mini-album and will disclose it at a later date.  I've been making flowers for the front cover as well as applying lace and bling.  In the lower right hand corner you can see my Tim Holtz Sprocket Gears.  My new Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch and some lace and flat back pearls.  It looks almost like it has been staged but I must keep it fairly clear as I work on the album here.  I made Heartfelt Creations flowers to go on the cover as well.  Sorry to be a tease but I will do a big reveal when the album is finished.  I'm following the Shellie Geigle videos on YouTube and she is such a wonderful teacher I can't seem to stop singing her praises.  Can you tell I'm hooked?

My post directly below this one shows the first mini I did and it is rather raw but I was just learning and made several mistakes.  I'm hoping this one will be better and that I can give it as a gift.

OK, that's it for me.  I'm off to visit as many of your blogs as I can.  Have a wonderful Wednesday and a Happy WOYWW!

I also did my first video but I'm not sure if it will work or not.  I playing in the dark here as this is my first Youtube video.

Well that's all for me this morning.  Hope you get to do something you love today!

April Showers.....

Good morning everyone! It's time once again for a new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters!  I'm so excited to be here this morning as this is my very first challenge with this design team!

Today's challenge is hosted by Terri and it is Anything To Do With Rain.... raindrops, raincoat, umbrella, rain boots, etc.

My card has a umbrella done with Parchment Craft and colored on the back with markers.  I tied a little bow to grace the handle and made flowers and leaves to match my umbrella. The little poem is printed from the Internet onto my card stock.

Now get busy and make your creation and share with us at The Sisterhood. You can also check out what the other designers are sharing as well!  I'm sure you will be inspired!

WOYWW #305

Good morning!  Welcome and come on in and sit a spell!  I'm here sharing a bit of my world this morning in the What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #305. This blog hop is hosted by Julia and she has all the rules and regulations listed at the top of her blog.  So why don't you get a nice cup of coffee or tea or whatever your beverage of choice is and come along with me and visit as many desks as you can!

There isn't much going on here lately.  I've been outside every day the weather has been good digging in the dirt.  Spring brings lots of challenges for an old lady living alone.  It's almost time to start my garden and I'm already dreaming of the wonderful veggies it will produce!

Here in East Tennessee the Redbuds are in full bloom.  They are the first trees to bloom along with the Bradford Pear, and then comes the Dogwood.  The Dogwoods are always in bloom for Easter but this year some of my trees were a little late.  Some are in full bloom and some are still thinking about it.  I learned long ago not to question Mother Nature.

Well that's it for me this morning. I'm off to visit as many of my blog buddies as I can.  Have a great day and take a moment to "Breathe"!

Boxes, Boxes, Boxes

Good morning everyone!  Here we are facing a brand new week and I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!  I just wanted to give you a quick look at these boxes before I pack them away to take to my sister.

I'm afraid my photography skills are lacking but you get the general idea.  I sure hope the patients at the nursing home like them!  I've had so much fun making them.  Now it is on to something else.  Hmmmmm...what's next?

The Sisterhood of Crafters

This is my second post this morning but I just had to pop back in and tell you my exciting news!  I have made the design team for the Sisterhood of Crafters!  I'm so very happy about this and cannot wait to get to know everyone on the team! From what I can see there is a lot of talent on this team and I'm very happy to be allowed to play with these ladies!  So follow the link and check out their blog! Also follow along as I post twice a month with them.  It is always a fun challenge and maybe you can play too!

WOYWW #304

Good morning everyone!  We are at another middle of the week and I'm here to show off my digs again for Julia's World Wide Blog Hop called What's on Your Workdesk?  Wednesday #304! Go and visit Julia and she has all the lovely details then take a picture of your desk and come join us!

First off I received my new We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 punch board.  As you can see it makes envelopes, bows and boxes!  All in one and no muss, no fuss!  It also has a score line for making the card envelopes which have dimension so you can mail a embellished card!  Everything in one little board, how wonderful!  I also purchased a  Banner punch board that allows you to cut all kinds of banners quickly and efficiently...lickity split!  These were purchased from the Home Shopping network here in the states and I'm so thrilled to have these!  I will show you the Banner Board next week.  Also this morning I'm giving you a quick look at a mini album I'm working on.  I made this from scratch from instructions from
Shellie Geigle.  She has a list of video's down the side of her blog and she is a fantastic teacher!  Anyway I'm not showing the inside of this one cause I'm learning and I'm a bit self conscious about it.  I am hoping to do better with the next one!

OK, this does it for me!  I'm going now to visit as many of you as I can this morning.  Then it's outdoors for me....I've begun the digging in the dirt!
