WOYWW #356

Wednesday mornings brings me to this lovely show and tell blog hop that Julia Dunnit hosts and where everyone is welcome no matter what your pleasure!  Just take a photo of your workspace, blog about it and then link it to Julia's blog. Once that is done you can then visit the other participants desks and see what is going on in their world. Julia has instructions listed on her blog that will help you along if you are having trouble.  You will find us a friendly bunch of crafters and we are always glad to have you visit!

I'm working on daisy flowers and fluttery butterflies!  I love them both and am hoping this card finally comes together this morning.  Right now my card feels a little washed out and I may do some changing before I'm finished to add a bit more of a pop of color to brighten it up some.  Time will tell.  I've been sitting here just making flowers when I should be outside working in the yard.  It's Spring here in East Tennessee and there is a world of work for this old lady!  My back has been a bit out of sorts so it's been difficult for me.  I'm sure hoping I am on the mend soon and able to continue with my work and play!

I've shown you mine, now show us yours!  Join us and share in this little bit of madness we call WOYWW (What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday).

March Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop

Good morning everyone and welcome to the March Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop! The hop runs from today until Friday, April 1st. at midnight.  There will be a $25 gift certificate to Heartfelt Creations given away so take this time to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can.   You never know which blog will have the winning comment!  We will announce the winner at Noon on Saturday, March 2nd.

My  card is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 and I used  an Anna Griffin embossing folder called Foundry.  I also embossed my frame after I applied the color.  My Arianna Blooms have Minnie Pearls Prills colored with New Sprout Memento Ink.  I needed some colored Prills and have a limited supply of colors so I decided to give it a try and they took the color pretty well.  I'm all about stretching my products and having them do double duty.

Remember to leave a comment on as many of the participating design team members as possible!

A Ladies Diary from Graphic 45

I was browsing through my basket holding a stack of paper packs and found this Graphic 45 A Ladies Diary Collection and decided I needed to bring it to my desk and play a bit.  This is another instance of my hoarding so I actually cut into it and made a simple card for a friend.

It is a fancy fold card and I just covered it with these glorious papers and did some fussy cutting from the paper then added some sweet flowers out of my bin and a little seam binding bow.  I also did a belly band but left it scooted down to show you the most of the front as I could.  In real life it would be scooted up to just below the sweet little bow.

Folded out, the card reveals a sentiment piece with another fussy cut piece from the papers.  I layered the lady with an old Spellbinders tag stamped with my sentiment and it is ready to go.

How's that for easy peasy?  No handmade flowers or ribbon or lace just cardstock and pretty papers.  Looking back at my photographs this morning, I remember why I didn't want to use this paper...it's lovely!

Finished 5" X 7" Friendship Card.....

I'm here to share with  you the finished card that I displayed on Wednesday.  It was in pieces then and now it is all ready to be sent on it's way.  It is rather bulky and will need to be sent in a box but I think it turned out beautifully and after all flowers in nature and not usually flat.

My card is 5" X 7" and I made a seam binding bow to grace the bottom corner.  I colored the seam binding to match the greenery.  I always have a whole roll of the seam binding  in  my drawer just for a card like this one when the bow really does need to match.  I love how the grapevine leaves turned out and I think they sort of look like ivy.  The flower is made using the Arianna Blooms stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations.  The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms back in 2009.  It's really hard to believe that many years have passed and this is the first time I'm actually using these stamps.  Shame on me!

WOYWW #355

Good Wednesday morning everyone!  I'm a happy camper this morning Spring like weather is coming back to East Tennessee.  We had some cold temps for a day or so and yesterday morning there was frost but I'm so hoping we are back on track for an early Spring.

As you know each Wednesday Julia does a world wide blog hop of like minded crafters getting together to "Show you ours"!  Julia has all the details on her blog if you would like to join in.  We always have room for one more!

I don't have a huge lot going on in my world just now but I am working on a card using some Heartfelt Creations products.  As you know I'm a huge fan of their products and I had the flower just lying on my desk, made up and ready to go.  I will show you the finished card another day.  I still need to tie a bow and color my grapvine leaves and just glue everything down and I will be ready to send the card.

Well that does it for me.  I'm off to visit as many of the participating bloggers as I can!  Have a good Wednesday and a wonderful rest of this week!

My Week Has Been a Blur!

Good morning everyone!  What a week this has been and it's not over yet!  First we started out with gorgeous weather and now we are sliding back into colder temps for a few days and then another gradual warm up again.  Typical East Tennessee weather.  I'm just hoping I don't have any trees budded out that the colder temps will hurt.  My apple tree is just ready to burst through with blooms and if that happens it will get bitten and then no fruit this year.  My Dogwood trees are beginning to flower and the Red Bud trees are gorgeous right now.  So Spring is definitely coming!

I'm sharing with you this morning another page of a mini album that I am working on.  I did some cards this week but I just couldn't show them yet so I decided to show this.

The paper used on this page is from the Raindrops on Roses paper collection from Heartfelt Creations.  The page really showcases the new edge die I have from Sue Wilson.  I just love the look and you will be seeing it often.

Well I'm off for a warm up of coffee and I'm trying to get ready to face my day.  I mowed grass yesterday and today I need to weed eat.  That is a killer for me but I'm hoping my new weed eater is better suited for my size and won't kill my back. I'm really stiff this morning and I'm hoping today will be better on my body!

That's it for me this morning.  Wherever you are today and whatever you are doing take a moment just for you and "Breathe".

WOYWW #354

Good morning everyone.  It's Wednesday and once again time for us to gather and show you what is on our work desk today.  Each week a group of crafters gets together and takes a picture of our space and blogs about it and then we gather and link at Julia's blog.  Once this is done we can visit each other and see what is going on in each other's world. Julia has the rules, regulations and instructions listed on her blog and you can visit there and have a look around.

This week has been a very busy week for me.

I'm having the lower deck torn off my house and a new one added!  The flooring has been purchased for 4 years and sitting in a building waiting for me to get someone to do it.  The existing decking was 25 years old and totally in terrible shape!  Those steps lead up to another deck and once this one is finished, I will have an awesome outdoor space!  The old hot tube was pulled off and it is going to a new home soon and I'm such a happy girl!

The dump trailer is full and hopefully will be off loaded today and then the hot tube leaves!  As you can see the grass is green and the little tint of pink in the upper right hand corner of the photo is a Red Bud tree getting ready to bloom. We have had lovely weather for about a week now!

Now I've shown you mine....show us yours!  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can!

May God Comfort You.....

Good morning friends! I'm here this morning to share a sympathy card made for a dear family member recently.  This type of card has always been so hard for me to make but we do need these now and then.

I'm sorry for the shadow on my photo but the next one shows my flowers with a close up so you can actually see the soft colors of my flowers.

I used muted pinks and greens against a backdrop of white on white.  I think it turned out just the way I wanted it to and hope it brought comfort to my family member.

WOYWW #353

Good morning everyone!  I realize I have been sort of missing in action for a few days but I have been working on some behind the scenes projects that will have be kept a secret for a bit longer!  I'm here to participate in my regular Wednesday blog hop hosted by Julia Dunnit!  She has the rules and regulations posted on her blog if you would like to hop along with us!  We just take a photo of our work space and blog about it and then link it to Julia's blog.  It's really easy and lots of fun and you can visit with so many wonderful bloggers and there is a lot of talent to see as well!

As you can see it is rather clean at the moment.  I have some dimensional tape and inks...glues and of course my coffee mug the little rubbermaid container with the blue top has Flower Soft that I used some ink to change the color for a project I've been working on ...so just bits and pieces and things I really need to put away for another day.

Sorry for such a clean space but I'm in between projects so there isn't a lot going on in my world right now.  We have been enjoying Spring like temps in these parts for a few days and I just want to be outside.

Well that's it for me.  I'm off to link up and visit as many of the blogs as possible before I have to start my day.

March Craft Hoarders Hop...

Good morning everyone and welcome to our March Craft Hoarders Hop!  We are a group of ladies dedicated to our art and we have decided to admit that we "Hoard" and we are dedicated to trying to use some of products we have hidden away!

My name is Glenda and I'm a hoarder!  The first step is admitting that you are a hoarder and then set about doing something about it.  My problem is when I clear a space I have this terrible urge to fill it with more supplies!  I stopped going to meetings so I never got past the stage of admitting I'm a hoarder.

This month I am thinking about Easter and have made a tag shaped like an Easter egg using some inks I've had in my stash for a long time.  I also used some seam binding that was lying around on the corner of my desk and it was already the color I needed.  The flowers and butterfly are made from some stamps and dies I've had for awhile. They are not actually hoarded because I use them, but they have been with me for awhile.  I went digging in my fiber cubby and found the pretty thread but it was white.  I ran it across the ink pad and colored it to match the greens everywhere else. The egg shape and the purple layer are made using two layers of card stock that was hoarded and in a drawer but it still took to the color and became a beautiful layered piece for my flowers, leaves and butterfly.

You should be coming here from Jacquie Southas blog.  After visiting me, hop over to Tracey Sabella's Blog.  To start at the beginning of the hop, go back to Gloria's Blog!  Please follow along the hop for lots of inspiration!

WOYWW #352

Good morning friends!  I'm up and starting my day and I wanted to join in with the WOYWW blog hop this morning.  If you are curious you can visit Julia's Blog and have a look around.  All participating crafters take a photo of our desks and blog about it, then link our blogs on Julia's blog and we can then visit and see what everyone has had going on.

I'm breaking from tradition and not actually showing my desk this morning.  My week and last week  have been a little busy and I didn't really get to play.  I'm instead showing you a picture of two of the pages in my latest mini-album.  It is made using Heartfelt Creations papers and some homemade flowers and hand died seam binding for the bows.  I do actually do other things but this was quick and handy so here you go!  I hope you enjoy!

Now I'm off to link up.  I hope to have something more interesting for next week!

Hello friends and welcome to the new March 1st. Dies R Us Challenge...
