Heartfelt Creations Wednesday...

Good morning everyone.  Come on in and visit a spell!  I'm here to share a couple of projects that I have made for Heartfelt Creations.  Those of you who know me, know how much I love making tags.  They are great for tucking down inside a gift bag or they even make lovely gifts on their own.  They can be displayed on an easel as well.

For my Friend Tag:  I'm going to go ahead and apologize for this photo. Sometimes, no matter what I do it just doesn't work.

Hummingbird Cage Tag

Heartfelt Creations Products and Products Found in The HC Shop:

HCD1-7101 Botanical Orchid Die

Memento Ink in:  Bamboo Leaves, Lilac Poses, Tuxedo Black

Guacamole Colorbox Chalk Ink
Crystal Art Glitter
Minnie Pearl Prills

Other Products Used:  8mm half pearls, Ranger Glossy Accents, Canson Watercolor Paper, Dimensional Tape, Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, Hot Glue, Seam Binding, White Cardstock

Instructions:
My tag is 4 1/4 X 8 1/2.  Cut a piece of watercolor paper and cover with a piece of the paper collection.  Angle the top corners and punch a hole in the top.  Next I stamped, cut out, colored and shaped the flowers and set aside to dry.  Stamp the hummingbirds and color then add glitter and set them aside to dry.  When dry I shaped them just a bit so they had a bit of dimension.  Cut out the window die and use dimensional tape to adhere to the tag front.  I glued the pearls and allowed them to dry.  Next I colored the seam binding to match the colors of the flowers and scrunched it then set it aside to dry.  When dry I tied a bow and used hot glue to adhere to the tag.  I also hot glued the birds and then decided where I wanted the flowers to be and glued them down.  I threaded seam binding through the hole in the top and the tag is finished.

My tag is 5 1/8" x 8 1/2".  Cover the tag with a piece of the paper collection using Mod Podge.  Use Bamboo Leaves ink to distress around the edges of the paper.  Next I cut another piece of the paper and distressed the edges and tore it in places. I used Walnut Stain ink to go around the edges so it would not be showing white.  Cut a piece of the lace and glue down behind one of the torn places of the paper and adhere the layer with glue.  Pick another piece of the paper that looks good with what you have used already and distress the edges. I used Bamboo Leaves ink to go around the edges of this layer then I glued this layer down.  Adhere a piece of white cardstock to the adhesive sheet and then die cut the window.  Peel away the backing and apply glitter to the sticky surface. Spray with the acrylic spray to keep the glitter from falling away.  Glue the window to the front of the tag. Next I stamped, cut out, colored and shaped the flowers and added flower soft to the center.  I die cut the tendrils from the paper collection and glued them onto the window die cut.  Add the flowers over the tendrils and glue down.  Next I colored a piece of seam binding to match the flowers and tied a bow.  Glue it to the top of the tag.  Fussy cut one of the tags from the paper collection and adhere it to the tag using dimensional tape.

Another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday....

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday! I'm here once again sharing another project created using the beautiful Botanical Orchid Collection.  I absolutely love the colors on this one and was even able to die some seam binding to match.  I love doing that and I can match my colors so well.

My card is 5" x 7".  Make card base and cover with a piece of the paper collection. Stamp, cut out, color and shape the flowers.  Add the Flower Soft. Cut out the window die and the oval then glue the two together.  Trim away any of the oval die so that it does not show around the edges of the window die cut. Glue this to the card front.  Color the seam binding, scrunch and allow it to dry.  I am a bit impatient and use a heat gun often to dry my seam binding.  Tie a bow and hot glue it down.  I cut a tag from the paper collection and adhered with dimensional tape.  Next I arranged my flowers over a cut out piece of greenery and glued them down.

Good morning fellow deskers and welcome to my little world.  Lunch Lady Jan is hosting our little get together while our fearless leader continues to recover from some surgery. My photo is from yesterday afternoon but I'm sure you will forgive me this once.  What's on my workdesk?  Bella...

She loves to sit there in the afternoon and watch the birds fluttering around the feeders and occasionally there is a pesky squirrel that comes through.  I usually save my commenting and other computer work until that time of day and she will sit and watch the goings on or even nap. She never offers to bother a thing and stays on her towel so it works for both of us!

Now I'm off to visit as many of you as I can.  Hope you have a wonderful day!

WOYWW #367

I have been absent for awhile as I got back in the swing of things with being on the design team for Heartfelt Creations.  With new design team work, yard work and working in my garden I've been away.  I have sorely missed  being with you ladies and am hopping I can be one of you again!  I'm hoping Julia is recovering nicely and that she will be among us again soon!  Until then we are gathering at Lunch Lady Jan's digs.

Not a huge amount on my desk this morning.  My usual mug of coffee and some new sponge daubers I had ordered.  Then there is my wonderful new set of dies from Heartfelt creations.  I love the lovely oval shape and all the different ways you can use the dies.  To the left there are three pill bottles that have Woodland Scenics pollen in them.  You can just put a dab of glue on the end of stamen for flowers and it makes for a stunning flower center.  I love this; it is so realistic.

That does it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can!  Have a great day and Happy WOYWW!

My card is 4 1/2" x 5 1/2".  Make card base and add the die cut border and then cover with a piece of the paper collection.  Cut a piece of paper 3" x 11" and score at 1 1/2", 2", 3", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 5", 6", 6 1/2", 7 1/2", 8", 9" and 9 1/2" . Next I measured up on the two short sides by 1 1/2" and on one side I cut from the 1 1/2" mark to the 5" score line.  On the other side I cut from the 1 1/2" mark to the 6" score line.   Fold paper in mountain and valley fold and adhere to card front.  Next cut a piece of paper 1" wide and glue to the top of the pleated piece.  Glue down the bling.  Next stamp and cut out the hummingbird and color with Distress Ink.  Use a Double Dot to adhere to the card front.  Stamp the sentiment and your card is ready to go!

This card is featured on the Heartfelt Creations Blog along with many other creations by the very talented design team. Go have a look around and I know you will be inspired!  This does it for me this morning, but be sure to come back on Wednesday when I will have something brand new to share with you!

A Special Hug For You.....

Good morning everyone.  It is once again Monday and my weeks are flying by. Summer is my busy time with the garden and yard work and I have been very busy lately.  My garden is in and doing well; my green beans are climbing and blooming and we had rain over the weekend.  It was just at the best time.  Now for just a bit I can turn my mind to my handmade blooms.  Everything outside is doing well and now these are stepping to the front of my card.

This tag in a tag is made using the Sunrise Lily collection from Heartfelt Creations.  You too create these flowers by following Emma Lou's video on how to create and shape these lovely blooms. https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/video/7/flower-shaping-101-how-to-shape-gorgeous-lilies-for-cards-papercrafts-and-scrapbooks
