He First Loved Us....

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!  I'm here this morning sharing another card I have made using the Flowering Dogwood Collection.  This collection is near and dear to my heart as I have many Dogwood trees in my yard and when they bloom in the Spring my heart sings!

I would also like to congratulate the semi-finalists for the Design Team Call. You can check them out over on the Heartfelt Creations Blog.  While you are there, go ahead and vote for your favorite designers!

My card size is 6 X 6.  Make card base and cover with one of the 6 X 6 card fronts from the paper collection.  Stamp and cut out the dove and add glue and glitter then set it aside to dry.  I chose one of the papers and stamped and then cut out the leaves.  Stamp, emboss, cut out and color the Dogwood flowers from watercolor paper.  I used the Dove Blender pen and memento ink to add color to the petals. I spritzed the back of the flowers with water and shaped with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Shape the centers and glue onto the flowers and then add prills to the center.  I wanted the prills a shade deeper so I poured some out onto my Guacamole ink pad and rolled them around with my finger.  They take color well.  Next I cut out the window die and glued it down onto my card front.  I decided where I wanted the flowers and leaves and then glued them down. Next I added some color to the little dove using the Dove blender pen and the London Fog ink. Now shape the little dove with a stylus from the flower shaping kit and added a double dot to the back of him to pop it up from the rest of the card.  I added the half pearls to the window die and then added some glitter to the crosses and the dove in the upper right hand corner of my card.

Another Easter Card....

While I am still on the subject of Dogwoods, I have another Easter Card to share with you.  This one is a little less easy to mail but one that you might want to slip down in the side of an Easter basket.

If you can look closely, there is chunky glitter on the Dogwood blossoms and more glitter on the plumes of the dove!  I have fallen in love with this Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood Collection.  These will be stamps and dies that I always have on my desk.

This is all for me this morning.  I have much to do this beautiful Monday Morning.  Our weather here in East Tennessee is gorgeous for this time of year!

My card size is 6 X 6.  Make card base and then cover with one of the card fronts included in the paper pack.  These card fronts literally make such quick work of your cards and I’m sure you will be in love them as I am.  I added some glitter to some of the swirls on the paper and laid the card aside.  Next I stamped, embossed, cut out and colored the flower petals, centers  and leaves.  The leaves are cut out of one of the pretty papers in the paper pack so that everything matches.  The prills were just a shade lighter than I actually wanted so I poured some out onto the Bamboo Leaves ink pad and rolled them around with my finger to add a little more color.  I dampened the back of the flower petals and shaped them using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  I added a drop of glue in the center and added the prills then set them aside to dry.  Next I shaped the leaves a bit then decided where I wanted everything to be and glued down the flowers and leaves.  Next I cut out a sentiment from the paper pack and edged it with Bamboo Leaves Ink then popped up using the dimensional tape.

Easter Card

Good morning everyone! I'm here this morning to share an Easter card I made using the new Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwoods Collection. If you look very closely there is glitter on the dove's tail plumes and his chest.  My camera was not really wanting to pick up the shine.

I am always trying to make cards that will mail without a lot of fuss and bother. This one will do nicely. I will be sharing a couple more cards in the coming days using very 3 dimensional flowers.  I love the look but they are expensive if you have to mail them.

This is all for me this morning.  I hope you remember to vote for me to remain on the Heartfelt Creations Design Team here:  http://hcgo.co/DesignTeamVote2017

Heartfelt Creations invites you to usher in the spring season with the new Flowering Dogwood Collection!  Immerse yourself in this newest springtime assembling of designer papers, divinely detailed cling stamps and coordinating dies steeped with beautiful meanings and symbolism perfect for the Easter Season!  The dogwood tree is surrounded by a mesmerizing legend within the Christian faith…once the size of a mighty oak tree it was chosen to be used to construct the cross on which Jesus was to be crucified.  The tree became unhappy with its purpose and would never again grow large enough to ever build another cross.  Its branches would become narrow and crooked and no longer suitable for construction.  The delicate dogwood flower itself is a wonderful symbol of the Easter season…four petals that resemble the shape of a cross, the center laid as a crown of thorns, at the tip of each petal an indent resembling nail punctures, and a reddish hue around those indents resembling the blood of Jesus.  Soft and pastel in coloring, this newest paper collection reveals beautiful springtime shades of pinks, peaches, and greens which set stunning backdrops for scripted lettering and graceful swirls, while darker hints of blues and blacks bring out the gorgeous detail and coloring of the showy dogwood florals.  Bountiful blossom filled branches, peaceful white doves and hillside chapels are just a few of the beautiful illustrations found within the cling stamp sets!  Assemble the perfect dimensional dogwood flower using the varying sized petals within the Flowering Dogwood Cling Stamps Set and die cut using the coordinating dies.  The ideal collection to send out springtime and Easter wishes to friends and family!

My card size is 5 X 7.  Make card base and set aside.  Cut the Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4 out of a piece of the paper collection and glue to the card base. Next cut out the Eyelet Oval Die using white cardstock and a piece of contrasting paper from the collection.  Glue these two pieces together and add the half pearls.  Use dimensional tape and dots to adhere the oval piece to the card front. Next I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock and cut it to make a banner.  Ink the edges with Spun Sugar Distress Ink. Adhere to the card front with dimensional tape.  Stamp, emboss and cut out the flower petals.  I used Rhubarb Stalk Memento Ink and the Dove Blender pen to add just a bit of color to the outer edge of the petals.  I shaped the petals using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit and set them aside.  I took the prills and ran them over the Guacamole ink pad just to give them a bit darker appearance and then glued them to the centers of the flower petals.  I stamped the leaves onto a green piece of the paper collection and cut them out.  Shape the leaves and set aside.  I stamped the dove onto watercolor paper and cut out.  I used the London Fog Memento Ink to shade the dove to give it some definition and then I added glitter and set it aside to dry.  When everything is dry add the dove and then the flowers and leaves and set aside to dry.  Your card is finished.

Box dimensions are 2 3/4 X 2 1/2 X 3 3/4 Tall. I found this box on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORUKdiJYPzE&t=646s

Follow instructions for making the box.  Once you have the box lying flat decorate the panels before you glue together.  I cut the front and back panels and stamped the images using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I then used Memento Ink and the Dove Blender Pen to color.  I also stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black.  Now glue the panels front, back and sides onto the box form as well as the top panel of the box.  Next I stamped the flower and doves on watercolor paper.  I embossed the flower petals and then cut out the doves and flowers. Next color the doves and flowers.  Now stamp the leaves onto a piece of the paper collection.  Cut them out as well as the flower centers.  Shape the flowers and leaves and then add the centers and set aside to dry.  I also took the Lettuce Entertain You Prills and rubbed them over the Guacamole ink pad to give just a shade darker color and add this to the centers of the flowers.  Set aside to dry. Now assemble the box.  Shape the doves and add glitter and let them dry.  Once dry, add dimensional tape to the doves and add some of the flowers and leaves to the side panels of the box.  Next I decided where I wanted the flowers and leaves on the top panel of the box and glued them down.  I took the 1” hole punch and cut a half moon out for a finger hold on the front panel of the box.

My card size is 6 X 6.   Make card base and cover with a piece of the paper collection.  I cut out the cottage using a piece of the paper collection with bricks on it.  Stamp, cut out and color the accent pieces using watercolor paper. Assemble the cottage; I used dimensional tape to pop up the top of the cottage, windows and the fence.  Next I stamped, cut out and colored the flowers using watercolor paper and Dandelion Memento Ink.  I dampened them a bit and shaped using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit. Now you can add a drop of glue to the center of the flowers and sprinkle the Gala Glitz over them and allow to dry. Once dry you can place them on the fence and glue them down.  Next I found the tag on the paper collection and cut it out.  I used more of the dimensional tape to add some dimension to it.
