Happy Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!!

Good morning everyone.  I hope you are having a good day and that things are going your way!  This morning I have another card to share with you that I created for Heartfelt Creations.  My card is a kind of quiet and simple card with the sentiment doing the work here.  I love this sentiment as it can be conveyed as a religious sentiment or as an encouragement sentiment.  Very handy to have around!  All I did here was a couple of pieces of leftover designer paper a Spellbinders die and little ribbon and to top everything off, this wonderful sentiment.  I hope you like this one.  It really makes me feel peaceful.

As always I want to encourage you to go the Heartfelt Creations Blog and have a little visit.  There are so many beautiful creations and lots of inspiration for you there.  You can also visit the design team members by clicking on their names in the right hand side of my blog.  So go have a little look around and be inspired!

That's all for me today.  I've got lots going on here today, with everyday life things; so I'm off to get my day started!

Clean and Simple.....

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are ready to face another work week.  I looked up at my calendar this morning and it just dawned on me this month is over!  Can you believe it is already almost September?  It seems like we have been just enduring the heat this summer, with our heads down and looking for any little bit of shade we could find.  Now we will see the seasons change and suddenly, we all will be moaning about how cold it is outside and how much snow we have.  Well enough about the woes of the seasons!

This morning I want to share another card I made:

This is about as clean and simple I get.   I used a card base of watercolor paper and covered it with a piece of designer paper that had been floating around on my desk for days.  My little Magnolia stamp is hand painted using Ranger Distress Inks and then I cut out the image because I wanted her to sit on the swing.  I made the swing using Spellbinders Ovals Small dies and cut a frame.  Then I tied a piece of string to the top and glued it down under the trim.  The trim and the medallion for the sentiment are also Spellbinders dies (Parisian Accents).  I used a copic marker to color the white half pearls and adhered them to the medallion.  Just a little fussy cutting around the Magnolia image and everything else is Spellbinders dies and pretty paper.  How's that for clean and simple?  I hope you aren't getting tired of seeing these little images.  They are some of my favorites and they just lend themselves to this technique of coloring.

Well that is about it for me this morning....be sure to check back on Wednesday, when we will be sharing some more Heartfelt Creations cards and projects for your viewing pleasure!

Have a wonderful Monday and remember, no matter where you are or what you are doing.....take a moment and "Breathe"!

No Card Today.....

I know this looks like my Wednesday post, but trust me it is different.  I have not been working on cards for a couple of days.  I've been sorting and trashing some stuff out of my craft room that just had to go.  Also I'm making boxes for some of the cards I'm going to mail so they will be protected a little during shipment.  All this takes time away from the things that I love, but they are a necessary evil around here.  Sometimes you just have to put the good stuff aside and do the mundane.  I find I get bored with these things really quickly, but the last two days, I'm sticking to my guns and getting all these things out of the way.  Then we can play again.

I went to a couple of yard sales here yesterday and found a few things to alter.  I was really looking for an old wedding dress or some old wind up watches that I could take apart and use on my boxes.  It was just not meant to be.  But the pieces I found were really inexpensive and should work up nicely.  I will be showing pictures as I do them.  So hang in there with me and hopefully I'll have a piece to show you in a day or so.

Our summer days are coming to a close.  I'm happy to see cooler temps come our way.  The trees have begun dropping leaves already.  Someone said it was because of the heat we have had this year.  I hope there are enough left to have the beautiful colors we are used to here in East Tennessee.  Mother nature can really put on a show around here when she wants to.  Can you tell, I just love this area of the country.  I guess I'm a southern girl through and through!

Well that is about it for me this morning.  I hope you have a wonderful day and do something crafty.  Remember no matter where you are or what you are doing to take just a moment and "Breathe"

Welcome of my Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!

This is the story of my life...I always have the very best intentions, but then I always wind up letting something else get in the way and the first thing you know, this is the kind of card I have to send.  So, if you have to be late, what better way to say it than this?  Find a wonderful sentiment, make a few flowers and send the best wishes you can find along with and and you will be forgiven.

My card this morning is just such a card.  Made with Heartfelt Creations stamps and my little bit of love in the flowers and it is all set.  If you would like to see more gorgeous creations along with mine, and all the instructions and products used, just pop over to the Heartfelt Creations Blog and have a look around.  You can also visit the design teams blogs by clicking on their  names to the right hand side of my blog.  Everyone appreciates your visit and if you have time leave them a comment about their work/love.

Well that's about it for me this morning!  Hope you have a marvelous Wednesday and that you are able to take a moment and "Breathe"!  Be Creative in every aspect of your life!

Happy Wednesday everyone....  Since it is the middle of the week, come join me for a little peek at my workdesk!  Every Wednesday we take a picture of our mess and show it to the world, via Julia's Blog
You can visit her blog by clicking on the link and get all the little details.  This gives you a little insight as to what is going on out there in this great big world.  We get to see other people's spaces and the kind of creative mess they live in.  Mine is not too messy this morning.  I'm just starting to pull out things to start working on another card.  For me this can be hair raising because my actual work space is very tiny.  I have a whole room for my stuff and still wind up actually working in this little area of my desk.  But it works for me.  I'm only showing this one picture this morning because the rest of my room is a total wreck!  I need to spend a whole day and give it a good going over, but not today.  I have more errands to run and some laundry to catch up.  This week is starting out to be quite a busy one for me.

We are beginning to wind down the long hot summer here in East Tennessee...our temps are cooling and you can just tell Fall isn't too far off.  The humming birds have been frantic at the feeder getting ready to head south for the winter.  I will truly miss them this year, as I love to watch their movements and little fights they get into trying to stake a claim on the feeder.  The crickets are getting louder and louder outside my craft room window and that is always a signal to me that summer is not long for here.  I welcome the cooler temps but dread the idea of being couped up in the house all winter.  I am blessed to have windows in front of my desk and I spend hours here every day, returning emails or crafting or just watching the world go by.  Some days as I sit watching the birds, I'm transported to another place and time.  Nothing like a little travel to do a body good!

So I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday, and that your day is a blessed one.  And if you have the opportunity, take a little trip down memory lane; but for goodness sake, take a moment and "Breathe"!

A Basket of Best Wishes.....

Good morning everyone!  I have another tag to share with you this morning.  It looks like that is all I have been doing lately, but I promise it is not!  I just love tags and think they are a wonderful addition to any gift you give and I have a little stash of them ready and waiting just in case I need one to go along to a special friend.  This one is made using Heartfelt Creations products.  How do you like the decorative bottom I made for the tag?  If you are interested in all the products I used and the instructions for the tag, just follow the link I provided and check it out.  While you are there, feel free to look around and check out all the wonderful creations from the other design team members.  And be sure to check back here on Wednesday morning for Another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday card!
Ok that does it for me this morning.  I hope you have wonderful things planned for your day.  Me I'm going to play in my craft room and watch the birds outside my window!  And remember, no matter where you are or what you are doing take just a moment and "Breathe"!  A little while back I went on Facebook and connected with three siblings I went to High School with.  If I hadn't slowed up long enough to Breathe, that probably wouldn't have happened.  I'm so happy I found them.... but I might not have if I hadn't taken that little bit of time to just look.  (A big wave to you guys, you know who you are and I hope you are visiting)

Boo Tag!

Good morning my fellow bloggers!  Hope you are off to a good start and that your work week will be a good one.  As for me, I have no huge plans, just do a little housework and play in my craft room whenever I get the chance.

This morning I'm sharing a little Halloween Tag I put together over the weekend.  I used my new Tim Holtz Tag and Bookplate die and made the tag and I used the bookplate to frame my word.  I used some Halloween paper from last year and some seam binding I colored with Ranger Distress Ink.  Actually the binding was left over from the last card I made.  I try not to throw anything away, you just never know when you might need that little bit of ribbon or that little pearl.  The image was sent to me all stamped and ready to go by Patty.....Hi Patty (big wave)...I colored her using the Distress Inks technique and my paint brushes and  once I was happy with her I cut her out and placed her on the tag.  I just noticed I didn't do her little cheeks!  I always do the cheeks with chalk after everything is dry and I'm sorry, I just forgot.  I'll go take care of that right after I finish posting!  Every little lady needs rosy cheeks!

What did you do over the weekend?  I hope each and every one of you had a great time.  Now it's Monday and we must get back to the daily grind...so go forth and be productive!  Remember, no matter where you are or what you are doing, take a moment just for you and Breathe  ....  Read a good book, watch a good movie, visit with a friend, find a friend on Facebook, spend time outside, whatever your pleasure!

A Cute Little Maggie.....

Good morning Bloggers...another Friday has rolled around and even though I don't work anymore, I'm always happy to see them.  My weekends are usually just the same as my weekdays, but I still love them just the same.  This morning I want to share another Halloween card that I made using this cute little Magnolia stamp.  I think she is just too cute and she is all decked out in her purple and green just waiting for the holiday.  Now I don't have many of these cards to make.  My grandsons are too old for trick-or-treating, but I still try and mail them a card.  Nothing like getting mail especially if I tuck a few dollars inside.  I also do a few for the box for the nursing home just in case they have a use for one.

My card is 6" X 6" square and I have layered designer paper to set up my image.  The papers are from Making Memories (a stack that I won from Joan's Gardens last Fall)   Joan always carries the best products in her shop and I'm always pleased when I win something or when I get to make a purchase from her.  The little bat is a digi that was free and I just printed him off and cut him out and then added a little bit of stickles to his wings.  The ribbon is seam binding that I colored with Ranger Distress Inks and let it dry scrunched up.  My little image was stamped onto Canson watercolor paper and colored with Distress Inks also.  These little images are just perfect for this way of coloring and I dearly love this technique.    I hope you like her, I think she is just too cute!

Ok that's it for me this morning.  Whatever you are doing today, just take a moment out of your busy schedule and "Breathe"!  Life is complicated and you need just a small bit of time each day to be good to yourself.

Have a wonderful weekend and try and stay out of trouble!

A New Toy!

Good morning everyone!  I just a little excited this morning because I received a new toy yesterday to add to my crafting world!  I purchased the Tim Holtz Alterations Movers and Shapers Die (Tag and Bookplates) and it came in the box yesterday!  Well I just had to give it a try and it works beautifully!  You gotta love it when a plan comes together!

Please forgive my terrible picture; sometimes it just doesn't work for me!  I made the tag using the new die and one of the bookplates on the die!  I glued some design paper to the front of the diecut and taped down some lace and a ribbon.  I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of cardstock and cut out with scissors and glued to the back of the bookplate.  I love this piece...it looks so shabby chic to me (the bookplate that is).
Next I added a flower from wild Orchid Crafts and a couple of rosebuds and some stamen just because.  Now I have another wonderful tag to put away for just the right time when I need it!  How easy was that!  Now I don't have to go out and shop for tags anymore!  I love it!!

WOYWW 115

Good Wednesday Morning everyone!  Today being the middle of the week, I'm here to show you my MESS!  Now if you are wondering why in the world I would take a picture of this mess and actually post it on my blog....all I can say is....It's Julia's fault!  You can go over to her blog stamping-ground.blogspot.com and get all the grubby little details.  In the past, several of you have talked about how I keep my space no neat and my pictures were pretty good because I just showed you the good stuff!  Well today is going to be totally different.  I'm right in the middle of working on a card and I had to turn it over because it's still a secret, but I can show the flowers I'm working on and all the things I have pulled out for this project.  I try to keep things cleaned up in between but that will be tomorrow's project!

So there you have it....not really a neat person at all.  When I get to digging for a certain color paper or a little piece of ribbon, I just throw caution to the wind and let it all hang out!  I become a woman on a mission!

Ok, now that I'm totally mortified, I will go after another cup of coffee and see what everyone else is doing!

Wall Hanging....

Good morning everyone!  I hope your day has sunshine and cool temperatures!  We are finally beginning to cool down somewhat here in East Tennessee and I have to say it is truly welcomed!

This morning I want to share with you a wall hanging I made for the challenge over at Joan's Gardens.  This week's guest designer is Sherry Cheever.  Now I consider Sherry to be my mentor; she left a comment on my blog early on and I was blown away by the fact that someone with so much talent would even take the time to notice!  I have followed her Journey for quite sometime and she is such a creative lady.  So when I heard she was going to be doing this for Joan I was so excited and could hardly wait to see what Sherry did!  You can view it here: http://sherrycheever.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2011/08/11/at-joans-garden/        Of course I just had to play along and this is what I came up with.  My piece can be used as a wall hanging or to just sit on an easel.  My flower is made with the Tim Holtz Alterations Tattered Florals die and was dipped into Utee to give it that glazed look. I tried doing it like Sherry did by making the flower first and then dipping it.  It works beautifully!  This is a technique I will use time and again as I love making flowers and use them on almost everything I make.  Thank you Joan and Sherry!

Well this is about it for me this morning.  I hope you have a wonderful day and try and find a little time just for you and "Breathe!"

Supplies:  Spellbinders Dies (Grand Labels One, Foliage, and Labels Twenty and some Time Pieces dies but I don't know the name) Scrapadashery paper, Moon Glow's Glitz Spritz in Desert Moon Prickly Pear Purple, Ranger Distress Inks, Glue, Ranger Distress Crackle paint, Acrylic Paint, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, glitter...the family picture and the sentiment are from my computer; something I downloaded long ago and for the life of me I cannot remember where they came from.

Good morning everyone.  I know I'm late in posting this morning, but I have a good excuse.  My grandson, Spencer spent the night with us last night and I didn't get to get my post ready until now.  He is a computer hog, so I didn't bother him.  He is with me today and we are going to shop!  I love spending time with him...he still likes to talk to me which is a wonderful thing.

This morning I have another Heartfelt Creations Card to share with you!

I love the colors on this card; aqua is one of my favorites. And this card is one of the few that I have used Flower Soft on.  How do you like the new release of stamps from Heartfelt Creations?  I just love them!  These baskets can be used in so many ways.  I envision them with Fall leaves or Christmas flowers or just running over with candy!

You can get the specifics of my card over at the Heartfelt Creations Blog.  You can also check out all the other wonderful creations from the design team.

Well I'm off for another cup of coffee and to get ready to face the day.  Well talk more later!  Enjoy your day, and remember to "Breathe"!

Heartfelt Creations Sympathy Card.....

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are up and ready to face the day!  I'm sharing another card I made for Heartfelt Creations this morning.  A sympathy card, not an easy thing to create when you need them.  I try and do a few ahead so I will have them ready when they are called for.  I try to keep them quiet and simple if I can.  I did add a little glitter to the rose and the leaves.  I hope I didn't go too far...what do you thing?

The Heartfelt Creations Products used on my card are: HCPC 3377 Sympathy Sentiment PreCut Set, HCPC 3408 Woodland Fern PreCut Set, HCPC 3405 Leaf Medley PreCut Set, HCPC 3406 Botanical Floral 1 PreCut Set, and HCPC 3407 Botanical Floral 2 PreCut Set.  I also used Spellbinders dies, and Pinkpaislee paper on this card.  You know me, I just love Heartfelt Creations and Spellbinders.  Two things I think I have to have to make a card these days!  You can use the link I provided to visit Heartfelt Creations and have a look around.  They have some amazing stamps and dies there.

Well that is about if for me this morning.  Be sure and check back on Wednesday, as we will be showing the Heartfelt Creations August Release stamps.  You are going to love them!

Wishing You Happiness.......

Good afternoon bloggers!  Hope all is well with you today.  I know it's late for me, but I have spent most of the day in my craft room and I have been productive for a change!  I'm sharing with you today a Pop Up Card to be used as a gift card holder.  This is a first for me and I just love the idea.  Joan over at joanscreations.blogspot.com hosts a challenge on her blog every two weeks and since I had not been able to play along in a great while, I decided to try this!  Grace at th-ink-ingofyou.blogspot.com  is the hostess for this challenge and she is a very talented lady!  I looked around a bit on her blog and she makes some gorgeous creations!  I'm so glad Joan selected her to be a part of this challenge.  I think I might just be back on track for these challenges!

I created my card using Pinkpaislee paper and of course Spellbinders dies and a sentiment from Heartfelt Creations.  I hope you enjoy my creation and be sure to go over to Joans and see the other entries for this challenge.  You might want to play along.  Joan has some great gifts for the winner!

Well I'm off to do my afternoon chores!  Have a great evening and I'll be back soon with another card or two.

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday....

Good morning ladies!  It's Heartfelt Creations Wednesday and I'm up bright and early to share my card with you!  I just love how this turned out.  I don't use a lot of purple but I do love it so I have decided to try and work with this color a little more.  Check it out...I even made rosebuds to go along with the roses!  This is a first for me and I'm kinda pleased with it, can you tell?

If you have an interest in how I made the card then go on over to Heartfelt Creations  and check it out.  All the products used and the instructions are posted there.  All the cards and projects for the design team are posted there and you can see all the beauty in one place.  You can also go to each design team member's blog by clicking on their name on the right hand side of my blog.  Each and every one of the ladies on the design team is so talented.  We each have our own style and so you can see the same stamps used in so many different ways.  That ought to get those wheels spinning!

Well that is about it for me this morning.  I'm off to see what everyone else created!  Have a wonderful Wednesday and I hope you have a little time to create today!

WOYWW #113

Good morning bloggers!  It's Wednesday and once again time to share what is on my workdesk!  If you wonder what in the world I'm doing showing off my little mess; just hop over to Julia's    and she will give you the low-down!  Each Wednesday we take a picture of our space and post it on Julia's blog and then we can visit workdesks all over the globe and see what everyone has going on.  I hate to be a tease this morning, but I'm working on something that I just can't show.  I've been coloring with Copic markers (not my best talent) and cutting with some Spellbinders dies.  My project is turned over to hide and I'm sorry for that, but it has to remain a secret!  Right in front of my tape dispenser is a jar of Flower Soft, I will be using that next.  I know by many standards, this is neat and tidy, but you have to remember, I'm just getting started on this project so the messy, mess will come today or tomorrow!  I'm getting slow in my old age and I don't whip out those cards as quickly as I used to.  I do a little, and go do something else.  Part of it is age, and part of it is being home all day; I always figure I got time!

Well that is about it for me this morning!  I'm off for a cup of coffee and a look about!  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A Fall Card.....

Good morning bloggers!  I have a Fall/Halloween card I want to share this morning.  This little Magnolia image was sent to me by a wonderful blogger friend and I colored her using Ranger distress Inks.  I used a Spellbinders Oval to cut out the image and mounted onto a 6 X 6 card base that is layered with purple and white.  The corners are also from Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Accents Dies.  The die cuts behind the flowers are Marianne dies, sorry I don't have the name of them.  The flowers are from wild Orchid Crafts and they were white to begin with and I sponged inks on the tips of them to make them match my image.  I also made a little tag to slide into the side for a little gift to go along with the card.  This card would make a really cute Halloween card or even a Fall card.  This one will be going into my stash for just the right occasion.

I have several cards I need to get to my sister, the enabler, so she can take them to the nursing home patients.  I just love that my cards bring some joy for these patients who need a card to give to someone who has done them a kindness.  I have never sold any of my cards .... never tried.  I just like giving them.   Who am I kidding...I just love making them.  That is where my "Joy" comes into play.  This is what makes me happy!  Many years ago when I first started my Journey, I would have never thought I would wind up making cards...but I truly have a passion for this and I hope by posting these I bring you some joy!

Have a wonderful Monday and wherever you are and whatever you are doing, remember to "Breathe"
While I was pulling weeds and Not Breathing a couple of days ago, I did something to my hip and so I've been babying it for a few days.  No more pulling weeds for awhile.  Looks like I can play, as long as I can sit for a little while at a time.  And I will have some quiet time to "Breathe"!  Nothing like getting old.  It sort of snuck up on me!
