What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #164

My friends have been telling me I have a screw loose for years and now it is true!  What's on my Workdesk....what's left of my poor glasses after the loose screw and the lens fell out!  I was in my yard working and when I took my glasses off and sat down to rest I noticed the lens was gone!  I searched everywhere but never found the lens.  So for 7 to 9 days I'm down...shut out ... until my new glasses come in.  I'm wearing an old pair from several years ago and let me just say, driving by braille can be hazardous to your health!  So I can't read, I can't craft, I can  barely watch TV.  I am a hair's breathe above being blind at this point!  So my desk sits virtually empty and you won't be hearing from me again until sometime next week.  Please bear with me as I become a lady in waiting.

So if you are wondering what in the world I'm doing showing you my desk is all about, just go on over to Julia Dunnit's blog and check it out!  Each Wednesday, we take a picture of our desk and post it to our blog and then link it over at Julia's blog so that everyone can come visit you.  You can visit blogs from all over the world and see what is going on in everyone's world!  You get some awesome ideas and it is just fun to visit each week!  So come join us in our madness and post your desk so we can all come visit!

So, dear friends that is it for me.  I will be here, but I won't be crafting.  Wait for me...OK?

OH MY GOD!!!! That is a terrible discovery...I too use glasses and thow not as blind without them I can't see anything close up to read, or anything like that.... Just sit tight and just knowing you have a new pare coming has to be a light at the end of that very dark tunnel right now.

Oh no! Well, just enjoy resting and you can listen to music. DH will just have to take you out to dinner every night since the recipes just can't be read at home!

Nothing worse then having glasses that don't work for you. Good luck on getting some new ones soon. Pat

I love that clean desk, Glenda, not loving the reason why it is so clean! I am hoping you get your new glasses real soon so you can enjoy some crafting! Have a wonderful day.

Oh you poor thing!! I was in between pairs once, and I'm the same way...basically blind without them. I'm so sorry for what you're going through!!! I'll wait for you!

I'm surprised you were able to find the badge in my pic with no glasses, but congrats!!!!

Oh Glenda, how awful. We'll all still be here and to be honest you've done brilliantly getting round blogs at all!

Maybe the idea of a second pair is good, just a cheap and cheerful emergency pair perhaps? Then you could use them to go looking for lost lenses and screws if your 'best' pair start playing up!

Oh dear..in case you need a walker, I know a family who has 2, and neither want to use them.
Good Luck..I bought some of those $1.00 readers at Dollar Tree and they are great for reading and fine print.
Come in different levels. I keep them all over..!! sewing area, by the phone, near my crafty area, near my recliner and even here by my computer. Enjoy the week. We missed the rain, the wind, and the hail. But things are looking up.

Oh, no! That's a long time to go without crafting when you can't enjoy many other diversions, either. Can you even read this? I'm so sorry. We'll certainly be here watching for your next post.

Hope they come soon. Hope you can make the print big so you can get all our messages. You must be able to as you commented on my blog so cheers for the computer. Thanks for the info on what you do to the inside of your cards. Been so interesting reading what everyone does. Sandy :)

I just had to catch up on all your gorgeous cards. I am so sorry about your glasses. I have been in that situation and know it is not fun. We will be anxiously awaiting your new glasses and more of your beautiful work. Have a great weekend.

I feel for you. I'm as blind as a bat without my glasses and I hate getting new ones so I find myself in this exact same situation from time to time too! I'm sending all my speedy energy your way. Here's hoping your new glasses are in soon!
