OK, I think I have covered all the details so here is my card for this month.

I always try and have a few sympathy cards in my card box and then when it is needed I don't have to worry about trying to decide what to say.  We don't like having to send these but they are a fact of life.

Now I'm off to visit the other designers to see what they did.  I'm sure I'm going to see so much beauty.
These girls rock!

My Valentine....

Good Monday morning everyone!  Now that we have Christmas behind us and are looking toward the new year, the next holiday of course is New Years day and then it is on to Valentine's Day.  I mostly do these cards for kids or for my grandson's but this  year I want to try my hand at some grown up ones.  Here is my first one.

Something about this reminds me of some of the Christmas cards I was doing earlier, but trust me this one is for a Valentine!  Did you notice the little doves?  I just love those little guys!  And of course, you know me, I just had to sprinkle a little glitter.

OK that is it for me this morning.  Be sure and check back in tomorrow; it's the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team blog hop day.  I always get so excited to participate in these hops.  See you then!

Looking Back......

Good morning everyone.  We now have Christmas behind us and are beginning to think about the new year and what we have planned.  Before I get too far into the future, I want to take a look back and show you some of my favorite cards of 2013.

Most of these cards were made for Heartfelt Creations while I was on their design team.  I love their stamps, dies and papers and use them on most cards I make.  I can't wait to see where my Journey goes from here!

Well that's it for me this morning.  I hope you have enjoyed looking backward with me....now let's all look forward to the new year!  2014 here we come!

Wishing You and Yours a Very Merry Christmas!

Good morning everyone!  I'm just running through this morning to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas.  I hope you are ready to go and have everything under control.  All my packages are wrapped and under the tree, food has been prepared and now I'm counting down until Christmas Eve.

Everyone comes to my house and we have a quick meal on Christmas Eve and then on Christmas Day I kick back and do absolutely nothing!  The Christmas Eve gathering has been a tradition in my family since as far back as I can remember and each year we continue to gather on this day.  I slow down here and there and remember such wonderful memories of my family through the years.  It brings a smile to this old face!

I want each of  you to know how much I appreciate your visits to my blog throughout the year.  Your kind comments have meant so much to me.

OK, I've chattered long enough this morning!  Merry Christmas to each and every one and may you have many blessings this most joyous holiday!  I'll see you after Christmas!

Hugs
Glenda

A Birthday Wish.....

Good morning all!  It's Friday before Christmas and everyone I know is in a dead run trying to make it to the finish line!  I think I'm ready and am now just kicking back and enjoying the sights and sounds of the season.

The month of December carries two birthdays in my family and I always try to keep them separated from the Christmas Holiday.  That being said, here is one of the birthday cards I made.

I just love this little bluebird all fluffed out against the cold!  It almost looks like his little feet are stuck in the ice!  Wonder what color he would be if he wasn't so cold.

OK that's it for me this morning.  It's cold outside; remember to feed the birds!

WOYWW #237

Good morning everyone!  It's Wednesday and time for me to show you my work desk and my little mess.  Christmas is getting close and most of us are in a dead run trying to make it to the finish line. Yesterday was spent making cookies and fudge.    As you can tell by my photo the sun is shining and it is not early morning at all.  I cheated a little and took my photo yesterday afternoon!

I try to keep my little space neat as I work and I always thought of this as controlled chaos!  The gray board with the blue on it is my We are Memory Makers Envelope punch board.  I love this thing cause most of my cards are larger sizes and I can make an envelope for about anything I choose to make.  It has made my life a lot easier.  I've been working on a birthday card in blue and I will probably show it to you on Friday.  There is lots of glue around, it seems I'm always looking for a different kind from what I have; and I use a lot of glue in my card making.  The butterfly there is a butterfly die from Memory Box.  I have a huge amount of dies...I think i must actually be a collector...I'm always looking for new and different ones to use with my cards.  Spellbinders are my favorites but there are many gorgeous dies on the market and I'm not bashful; if I like the die, I buy it.

Now if you are wondering why I'm showing you my mess, just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  She gives you all the details there.  Just take a picture of your mess, blog about it and then link to her blog.  Now we can visit each other's desk and see what we have going on in our world!

OK, I'm off to visit as many of you as I can.  Wish me luck; I keep trying to make it to all of you, but so far I have not been able to get all the way through!

My final Christmas Card.......

I know I have said this before, but this year, I think this is my final Christmas Card.  Cards going in the mail today!  I feel like I have one thing complete and now on to baking and candy making!

For me the gold deer says it all for me this year!  There is just something about a deer jumping across the front of my card that just makes me happy!

I am well on my way to being finished with my chores and the final chore will be to give my house a good going over so the dust bunnies don't greet my guests!  Looking to lots of visits, good food and smiling faces.  How about  you?

Sparkle.......

Good morning everyone!  I'm feeling quite a bit of stress, although I really am well underway into this season.  Time is marching on toward Christmas and I still need to bake and make homemade fudge!  It will all fall into place and then I can begin to breathe again!

I'm here this morning to share another Christmas Card I made a while back and I don't think I have posted it yet.  If I did already, lets just chalk it up to stress!  OK, so you are not going to let me play the stress card.....how about old and forgetful?

Did you notice my envelope in the background?  My envelope maker from We are Memory Keepers is so handy!  I also used a Stampin Up folder to emboss some pretty onto a plain white envelope.  I found this folder on Ebay and I have to say, I love it!  The grid work on the front of my card is Poppystamps and it's name is Diamond Background.  Lots of glitter and it makes a gorgeous background!

Supplies:
Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder
Diamond Background die
Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two
Heartfelt Creations Sentiment (I have lost this stamp set and didn't write down the numbers)
glitter and glue

WOYWW # 236

Good morning everyone!  Hope you are up and ready to go.  As for me, I'm running a little behind but I don't really have anywhere I have to go so it is OK if I'm still sitting here in my PJ's.  I am able to participate in What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday this morning.  If you don't know what that is just head over to Julia's blog and she will enlighten you!  She has everything to help you listed at the top of her blog.  Basically all you do is take a picture of  your mess, blog about it and then link it to Julia's blog.  Then you just spend the day snooping...sitting in your PJ's....sipping coffee....and eating Bon Bon's...just kidding.  So here we go!

So this is my tiny work space and it's crammed jammed full of "Stuff"!  I recently purchased some PanPastel  and my green is out for show.  Also I thought I might try a December Daily this year and that is about as far as it has gone.  I'm about a week behind, but the good news is, I think I have my Christmas cards ready to go.

OK, I've shown you mine...show us yours!

Rainy Monday......

Good morning everyone and Happy Monday!  It's raining here; it has been for two days and it looks like we are supposed to have more of the same.  At least it isn't snow.  But I do love snow and the fact that we don't get very much is a very sad thing to me.  But at least the heating bills are not quite so bad in these parts.

I have been working on a December Daily Journal and I'm here this morning to share a tag and envelope I have made just as a little filler between some of the pages.  Of course I'm already behind because I'm also frantically trying to finish my Christmas Cards and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at this point.

For the tag I just used little bits of things left on my desk from other projects.  Don't really want to waste anything.  The envelope was made using my We are Memory Keepers envelope punch board.  I love how easy it is.  The paper is from Heartfelt Creations and it doesn't show but on the envelope I glittered the swirls.  I just had to; you know how I am.  I may not always have on makeup but I always wear glitter!

Well this is it for me this morning.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I loved making it.  Have a good day and remember to take a moment and "Breathe"!

Another Tag for Christmas....

I'm definitely on a roll here and I'm here to share my latest tag I have made for the upcoming Christmas season.

So that poinsettia that was sitting on my deck on Wednesday is now the star of this Christmas gift tag.  I love flowers of all kinds but the poinsettia is a favorite, these and roses just make my heart skip a beat! So there you have it...my two favorite things...flowers and tags.

It is raining here this morning and we have a thunderstorm going on.  It's 60 degrees here in the beginning of December.  How strange our weather patterns have become!

OK that's it for me this morning.  Hope your Friday is a good one and that you get to jump right in to the weekend!

December 5th...

OK, I've just come up for a breath and I decided to share another tag with you.  I'm steaming right along trying to get all my cards made and it will soon be time to mail, so I really need to get to getting!

This is my door tag with a woven wreath!  I just love this and will definitely have to make one for me!  I used Heartfelt Creations dies and embossing folders to make the tag.  It is quite large and can be used as a stand alone home decor piece as well as a tag.  It is 4 1/2 X 8 1/2"

If you would like to purchase this tag, it is listed on Etsy and ready to go now.  You can click on the link in my side bar and go to my shop.

Well that's it for me today; I'm back to work just as soon as I get a cup of coffee!  Have a good day and Breathe...Breathe...Breathe!  I definitely need to practice what I preach!

WOYWW # 235

Good morning and welcome to WOYWW!  I am totally addicted to this little Wednesday extravaganza and just love being able to be a part of it!  If you would like to join in, just go over to Julia's blog .  She has headers on her blog with all the information.  We basically just take a picture of our desk or workspace and blog about it and then link to Julia's blog and then we can visit each other.  I love being able to poke around in everyone blog space; so much craftiness going on out there!

Lots of Christmas crafting going on.  I try and do one "something" each day.  Whew am I one busy lady!
Right behind the fast grab tack glue is a die that I actually lost a month ago.  Now I was devastated because I use that die so much!  Imagine my surprise when I opened a drawer that I thought had been searched properly and I heard the die fall.  I started pulling things out of the drawer again and there it was.  So glad I didn't order a new set...I was waiting until after Christmas!  That's what happens when my space gets too cluttered!

I made a poinsettia using the Sizzix - Susan's Garden Poinsettia Die by Susan Tierney Cockburn.   Check out the center.  I achieved this look by taking her center piece folding it a little and dipping it into  glue and then flowersoft that had been tinted a little and then I used a red marker and just dabbed a tiny bit on the tip.  Wow these are just so life like.  I definitely will be making more of these.  So very easy!

Snowflakes and Icicles ....

Good morning everyone!  Happy December; we are humming right along.  Here is another Christmas card I have made and I just had to share it.  I finally got to use my new Spellbinders Icicles die and the snowflake is from Impression Obsession and I love, love love it!  Of course I love working with blue for the Christmas Season.  So this one just makes me happy.  I hope you like it to.

Now don't panic, you still have some time...take a moment and "Breathe" and then jump into the season with both feet!
