woyww #343

Good morning fellow deskers!  I'm so happy to have the time to play along this morning.  I have been busy trying to put away some decorations and get ready to face the new year.  It is definitely not as much fun as when I pulled it all out!

If you want to know about this little bit of madness, just head over to Julia's blog as she is the creator and have a look around.  You will find we are a friendly bunch of crafters and always willing to share what is going on in our world!

I'm making flowers and little butterflies for a new mini album I'm starting.  The colors I'm using are Ranger Distress Inks Bundled Sage, Victorian Velvet and Broken China. Of course there is a bit of glitter, some Gala Glitz and some Glossy Accents sprinkled all around .  I have quite a way to go before I will be ready but it all pays off in the end.  So far I have the mini-album and pages all made and ready for pretty pages with flowers and butterflies sprinkled throughout.  This books take a great deal of time and it will be a good project for January.

Well that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to have a good look around!

December Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop

Good morning everyone and welcome to this month's Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop.  As most of you are aware, we lost Penny O'Dell this month and this blog hop is being dedicated to her memory.  We miss you Penny!

We all need sympathy cards at some point and I believe that a simple design with a mostly white background is classic.  I used watercolor paper for the base card and all the layers as well as the flowers are made with it.  It is a beautiful off white color and not too stark; just a warm look to provide a great background for my flowers. I stamped and cut out the flowers and leaves.  Once my flowers were shaped I sprayed some color spray right in the centers of the flowers and when the flowers dried I glued white seed beads in the center.   When I was doing the leaves I used a water brush and just ran the brush along the side of the ink pad and then onto the leaf.

There is a $25 gift certificate from Heartfelt Creations to be given away to one lucky person so you must visit as many of the participating designers as you can and leave a comment on each blog because we never know from which blog the winner will be chosen.

If you arrived here from:Amy Doria's blog you are right on track and your next stop will be: Vicki Dutcher's  blog.

You have until Midnight,  January 1st. to leave a comment on as many of our blogs as you can.  The winner of the $25 gift certificate will be announced on Saturday,  January 2nd.  Good luck to everyone!

Sending Christmas Wishes to All of You! WOYWW#342

Good morning everyone!  Bella and I are sending Christmas wishes to all of you from our house to yours.  How do you like Bella's Christmas dress?  My sister (the enabler) sent it to her.  She really loves wearing it but she was not happy about sitting on the table where I take my photos.  She didn't feel at all stable so we really had to hurry to get this shot.  We will be busy until the 29th. when I will be back to share the December Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop!

Now if you would like to participate in What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday; just head over to Julia's blog.  We would love to have among us; we are a pretty easy group of crafters  just sharing what is going on in our worlds.

Here in the Brooks household everything is ready to have family here for our traditional Christmas Eve celebration and then Bella and I will be spending a nice quiet Christmas day together watching old movies.  We snuggle down and stay in our pj's and do nothing all day long.

That does it for me!  I want to wish each and everyone of my blogger friends a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  Now don't forget to come back for the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop on December 29th!

WOYWW #341.....

As the Christmas Holiday draws near, I find I'm a little better organized than I thought.  All the Christmas cards are in the mail and the Christmas fudge has been made and distributed and I can breathe for a bit!  I decided to clean my craft room so I didn't take a photo of my clean desk for today. Julia is the creator of this little bit of madness and she has all the details on her blog. I'm totally addicted to this weekly world wide blog hop and hope you will decide to follow along.

I have been working on videos of mini albums that I have done recently using the Heartfelt Creations Papers, stamps and dies.  I'm no longer on their design team but I have remained a Heartfelt Creations girl!

This mini  album is made using the Blazing Poppy paper and dies from Heartfelt Creations and I have to say, I love this one!  Below is the little video I did for YouTube so I hope you enjoy it.

Please be kind, I'm still learning about making videos and I have senior moments when I can't think of a certain product I have used so just bear with me.  I love making the mini albums and it is difficult to photograph one so a video is better. Have a Happy WOYWW!  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can.

Birds and Blooms Mini Album...

Good morning everyone.  I'm here this morning to share another mini album I have made.  It is using the Birds and Blooms papers from Heartfelt Creations. You know me, I'm a huge fan of Heartfelt Creations and still use their products on most everything I create.

Things are a little crazy for me right now and I haven't been making anything since I did my Christmas cards so I hope this will make you happy until I begin creating again.

WOYWW #340

Good morning friends.  Here we are again for another Wednesday and the wonderful world wide blog hop generated by our lovely leader Julia.  Just click on her name and you can go read all the details and while you are there you can join in the hop and see what everyone has going on.

I did sort of stage this and I took this photo yesterday afternoon.  I have been receiving a few supplies and some new goodies to play with too.  I purchased two dies with some store  credit I had and then the paper, hooks and magnets were purchased to use on a new mini album I will be working on.  It's been a little like Christmas around here with these new supplies arriving!

Not a lot going on in my world as I am getting my Christmas card list together and addressing envelopes for my cards.  I would much rather be playing and getting my fingers inky but that is a chore that has to happen.  I've already received one card so I sort of feel like I need to get in gear!

So I'm off to go look around and visit some of the blogs and say hello to everyone!

Mad Hatter Ornament...

Good morning everyone and happy Monday!  I played a bit yesterday and made a little Mad Hatter ornament for my tree.  I used this pattern from this link.
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/342766221613976820/
When I tried to print mine it was a bit small for me so I put it into my Word program and enlarged it till it suited me.  Now remember this is my first one so it is a bit rustic.

The next one will have some pretty Christmas paper on it and maybe some holly and feathers.  There are a world of possibilities with this little hat.  I'm still trying to find what works best for me and gluing the top pieces together.  I'll get it figured out so that it looks neater or I will need to find something more to put on that part of the hat to hid my sloppy ways.  But once it sits on the branch of my tree, it is just adorable.  I will also make a loop for the top of the hat so it can hang from a hanger.  These could be a lot of fun and a quick ornament to give to a friend.

December Craft Hoarders Blog Hop

Good morning friends and welcome to our December monthly Craft Hoarders Hop.  Let's face it, we are all hoarders to some degree, just some of us are worse than others!  I've been at this for a few years and I have stuff  supplies crammed everywhere.  So much so, that I forget some of the pretty papers I have.  I've had this paper pad for awhile now and decided it was time to use it or lose it.  And suddenly a quick fold out mini appeared! The paper is from My Mind's Eye and it's signature CHRISTMAS Holiday Glitter Book- 2009.  It is a huge pad of paper and even after making this, there is a lot left to play with.

I made a quick white poinsettia with my Layered Poinsettia Die from Spellbinders.  It has a gold center and some pretty Martha Stewart punch branches.  then it is all tied up with a piece of white ribbon.  And thankfully, all my reindeer are leaping in the same direction!

I added a gold leaping reindeer and tied a red bow for his neck.  I used lots of lace and pretty die cuts to decorate the inside and then I made some tags to slip down inside the pockets.

Nothing like a few pearls to adorn the snowflakes and a few more tags.

And this is the back side all folded out for you to see!  I even added some bling here and there.  This will be going in the basket for my neighbor.  These little mini albums make wonderful gifts.

You should be coming here from Jacquie Southas  blog  After visiting me, hop over to Amber's blog next.  To start at the beginning of the hop, and for the full list of Bloggers, go to Gloria's Blog!  Please follow along the hop for lots of inspiration!  These ladies have been working hard to dazzle you!  See you in January!

WOYWW #339

Good morning friends and welcome to a very rainy Wednesday here in East Tennessee!  We are so soggy in these parts and we are all so grateful it isn't snow!  I'm here this morning to share what's on my workdesk this morning.  If you would like to know more about this, head over to Julia's blog; she has all the details listed there.  Julia is the creator of this little bit of Wednesday happiness and we all welcome you!

I have been continuing to work on Christmas and these little ornaments have been so much fun.  They look so cute hanging among the branches of my tree.  I found this design online and printed it off and these are the finished pieces.  I just googled birdhouse templates and there are several you can choose from...the fun part is the decorating.

Well that's it for me....I'm off to visit as many of you as I can.  Have a great day!

Leftover Bits and Pieces.....

Good morning everyone!  Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are now ready to jump head first into Christmas!  I'm still on my never ending quest for Christmas cards.  I just never seem to have enough and I never tire of making them!  This card is made from some bits and pieces left on my desk from other cards.  I just added a piece of gold and then I embossed with a pretty Anna Griffin embossing folder.  I had the star, the Merry Christmas piece and the pretty colored seam binding.  I just added a little pearl to the snowflake and tied the pretty bow and the card is just ready to go!

It's Black Friday but I'm not going anywhere!  Too crazy for this old broad!  I'll be here thinking about where all my decorations are and putting up the tree.  I love having my tree decorated and the lights glowing.  Just makes me happy!

Tis the Season....

Three more days until Thanksgiving and then it's a headlong dash into Christmas!  Everyone is so busy but it's a lovely time of year!
This morning I want to share another window card I made this past week.

I used my window die(Grand Madison from Poppy Stamps) and cut out this frame.  Then I stamped a Heartfelt Creations tree onto a white piece of cardstock and once the ink set, I used a cotton ball with a bit of Ranger Distress Ink on it and lightly colored in around the tree, giving my little room a nice warm glow.  I added lace behind my window frame to look like curtains for my room and then added the window frame to my card front.  Next I punched some branches with my Martha Stewart punch (Sorry I cannot remember the name) added some berries and a little bow and the window just suited me and I stopped there.

Hope you enjoy my card as much as I loved making it.  Be sure and come back tomorrow as it is the monthly Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop.  We always have so much fun and there is always so much inspiration to be found among the ladies on this team!  See you then!

Window Christmas Card

This is looking out a Christmas window to a decorated door of a shed with a sled resting against the wall.  This is my attempt at a masculine card for the Christmas Holidays.  I struggle with this type of  card and Heartfelt Creations, as always, has come through for me again!  I used some of their beautiful papers added snow to the card board, die cut some pretty snowflakes from Sue Wilson, add a couple of gold pearls,a pop of lace and you are out the door.  This one does not have to mail, but if it did, the little rose sits up just enough to cause a problem.

We are just getting ready to go slipping right into another weekend.  I hope you have some fun planned and as always "Breathe"!

WOYWW #337

Good morning friends.  Here we are again at another Wednesday and another post about What's on Your Workdesk?  Wednesday # 337   .  If you are a little curious and think you might like to join us or would just love to peep into everyone's lives and spaces, then just head over to Julia's blog and have a good look around. This time of year you find all kinds of different posts about holiday decorating and storage as well.  There is always lots to see when you just follow the links and look around.

As you can see my desk is quite busy this morning.  I'm in "tree decorations" mode and have been for about a week.  I've made ornaments for my own tree and some for my family and some for neighbors.  This morning I am working on bird houses and the one in the background has glitter drying on the roof.  I will add some branches and other pretties to the front and maybe some snow to the roof. There are two pairs of scissors, some jingle bells and a hole punch in the foreground with glue, paint, lace and ink in the background.  I think I might be using the "push back" method again!  Are you into "Holiday" mode yet?

OK, I'm off to visit.  Have a great day!

Blessings of the Season.....

I have been working on some Christmas cards lately...after all it is the season...right?  I purchased this Angel die from Crafter's Companion and it has quickly become my very favorite for this season.  You can back it with all kinds of beautiful colors or just use white on white with a pop of color in the sentiment. Whatever your heart desires.  I decided I would cut out the wings and fold the card so my angel looks like she is ready to fly.  It also gave me space to showcase my sentiment and a pretty little snowflake.  Even with the fold, this card will be flat enough for mailing.  Perfect for sending to friends and family.

I embossed the halo with silver embossing powder and used silver cardstock for the snowflake and the backing of the sentiment.  It looks very festive and I am very happy with the way this came out.  This die is also beautiful just cut out and backed on pretty colored paper.  The possibilities are numerous.

Bella's Bath.....

Good morning friends and welcome!  I'm here this morning showing you a couple of photos of Bella's bath this week.  I have been very busy this week with some cleaning and I'm trying to work on Christmas ornaments for my tree.  I gathered pinecones from my yard and dried them in the oven and now it is time to play.  I showed you on Wednesday how I'm decorating them.  Lots of pretty ribbon and many many pearls.  It takes a lot of patience.

Right in the middle of everything else this week, Bella needed a bath so off to the sink we went with brushes, combs and blow dryer... since I didn't have a card to share this morning I wanted to show a picture of my little love!

Bella weighs 5 lbs and gets a chill easily so here she is all bundled in her bath towel ready for the blow dryer.  She loves the heat from the dryer and sits very patiently for me to get her all dry and ready to go.

Just look at that face...actually that's her "I'm over it" face and she is telling me to put the camera down and get her warm!

Well that is it for me.  Hope you have a great weekend and I'll be back on Monday with another holiday card to share with you!

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday #336

Good morning friends!  I am here to share with you what my desk looks like and what I have been doing.  If you are curious as to why I would do this, it's because every Wednesday I participate in this wonderful world wide blog hop.  For details you can visit Miss Julia at her blog Stamping-Ground.  She has all the details listed there on her blog.  We would be so happy if you came and joined us each Wednesday.

I'm working on Christmas now and loving it!

I have a little mess going on right now.  Plastic bowls with flat backed pearls, several bottles of glue and some pretty paper.  Also I have a pine cone and some Snow Tex open and I'm using a brush to apply the snow to a pine cone.  Next I will hot glue pearls to the edges of the little pine cone and some pretty ribbon to the top and of course the hanger.

I was checking our some of the videos on YouTube and found this ornament by Cynthialoowho.  I fell in love with it and decided this would really look pretty on my tree.  It's from her Christmas series in 2013 ...anyway here is the link to the video:

This girl is so talented and I just had to give this a try.  Well that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit and see what you all have going on!

Angel Card.....

Good morning friends.  I hope you are doing well and getting ready to face the week.  I've been absent for a couple of weeks but I've been struggling with a little bit of a health issue.  I've had a pinched nerve in my shoulder and let me just say...growing old is not for the faint of heart!  Such a burning, stinging pain and not much relief in sight so I was pretty much down for the count.  It was even hard to dress myself and it goes without saying...NO CRAFTING!!!  I am better and can at least type a little bit at a time before it begins to hurt again so this will be short and sweet.  There is lots of ice and awful TV, and cuddles with Bella.

It's sort of hard to tell but the inside of this box card is the same color as the markings on the angel.  I love this die and have made several cards already using this one!  There is sparkle on my snowflakes in the corners but it doesn't want to show up either.  Some mornings my camera and light tent don't like to play together.

That's all from me this morning.  I'm so happy to be back but boy am I behind on my projects.  Bear with me as I play catch up and please don't move on as I'm still here!

Hugs
Glenda

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #334

Good morning friends and welcome to another WOYWW post!   I love Wednesday because I get to visit so many desks all around the world.  If you are curious about this blog hop just go over to Julia's blog and have a look around. Julia is our weekly hostess and the creator of this great get together of crafty people.  Come join in and become one of us!  Julia has all the rules and regulations listed on her blog.

There is not a lot going on here this morning.  I actually was doing a clean up when I realized I should go ahead and take a picture of my desk for today's post. I have been using the "push back" method and it was either put things away or have it fall behind my desk.  So before that happened and I had to go down on my hands and knees and crawl up under my desk and try and fish  things out of the black hole, I decided to clean a bit.  There is still a bit out but I do have space to work if I want to.  I've started a new mini album for one of my neighbors for Christmas and this is just the beginning of that.  I'm actually working on the front cover and need to make some poinsettia flowers and snowflakes to decorate this space.  I'm using traditional colors for this album and it will be tucked down inside a basket with cookies and candies.

I have spray glue and liquid glue, tape runner, Martha Stewart Snowflake punch and 3 different tubs of glitter.  I apply glitter daily to my face and eyebrows...I think it is definitely a beauty treatment.  The package in the front is extra large hook and eyes from Dritz for making the closure on my mini!

That's it for me.  It seems I keep getting longer and longer winded and Julia I apologize!

Christmas Tag....

Good Monday morning everyone.  Seems like I just said that to you 20 minutes ago but here we are at the beginning of a brand new week.  I'm here this morning to share a Christmas tag I made.  These are great for slipping down inside a gift bag or even hanging on the tree.

I used Heartfelt Creations products and I love the pretty blue Christmas paper. The poinsettia is has been retired and replaced with different stamps and dies, but I still love the shape of this one.  I find that these stamps and dies are timeless as well as the glorious paper they create!  It's been a few years since I was on the design team but I'm still a walking advertisement for Heartfelt Creations!

Remember to come back tomorrow to share in the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop.  See you then!

WOYWW #333

Good Wednesday morning friends and welcome to my busy desk this morning. Each Wednesday a bunch of us crafters from all over the world get together and photograph our desks and blog about it then we link to Julia's blog.  Julia is the master mind of this lovely hop and she allows us to overtake her blog each Wednesday!  If you would love to join us, just head over to her blog and read all the rules and regulations posted there!

I went over to Sevierville, TN last weekend for a craft show and Heartfelt Creations had a booth.  We rounded the corner and there was a huge amount of people just jammed into this one little space.  I've never such a rush to one booth in my life.  All the other booths had 2 or 3 people and there was standing room only at Heartfelt!  Well I had been eyeing these butterflies since their debut but was reluctant to purchase them because I wasn't sure about the sizes.  So once I saw them in real life I snatched them up and ran with them!  Also bought a container of glitter and a tub of Gala Glitz in gold.  Love that stuff!

In the front of the picture is a new die I purchased from Crafter's Companion to use in making some of my Christmas cards.  It's a beautiful angel and is such an intricate die so you can get an idea of  how gorgeous it really is!  I'm not going into too much detail as I'm going to be showing you a finished card a bit later here on my blog.  Now onto the last new item sitting on my desk.  A bottle of Winsor & Newton water colour Iridescent Medium.  I heard somewhere this is an amazing double for the Wink of Stella everyone is raving about.  I purchased wink of Stella and do love it actually, but I also have this large bottle of Iridescent Medium sitting in my closet of shame collecting dust from several years ago.  I had forgotten about it and had to do a bit of digging to find it.  I gave it a good shake and poured a bit out and used a brush to paint onto a piece of cardstock and then I painted Wink of Stella right beside it.  Well Wink of Stella is probably the more glittery product, but I have to tell you this Iridescent Medium is a very close second.  Since I have this huge bottle of this product sitting on the shelf, I will be using it instead.  Trying to live on a fixed income can present it's challenges so I'm always trying to find ways to save money.  I'm sorry I can't give credit for this information but I really cannot remember where I heard this.

Now I'm off to visit the bloggers in the blog hop!

Red, White and Gold Christmas Card.....

Good morning everyone and welcome as we start a brand new week.  I'm here to share with you another Christmas card I made.

This card is really hard to photograph but is very pretty in person.  The flowers have gold on the petals and the white base has layers of gold and white.  A pretty embossing folder with snowflakes is a welcome touch and the pretty red flowers and matching bow are the icing on the cake.  I also used a Sue Wilson Die for the scalloped edge.

Cold weather has come to East Tennessee as we had frost yesterday morning and it's expected here again this morning.  The heat is on and I'm wearing long sleeves again.  Where did the nice Fall temps go?

WOYWW #332

Good Wednesday morning friends and welcome to What's On Your Workdesk. If you are curious about this and think you might like to become one of us, just pop over to Julia's blog and check it out.  She has all the rules and regulations listed there as she is the creator of this little get together of like minded crafters! We hail from all over the world and are interested in many forms of creativity!

This morning my desk is not very interesting as I am in between projects but here is another reason I get up each morning.  She is my constant companion and has become a huge part of my daily routine!

She was just getting up and starting her day and looks a bit like she needs a good brushing.  He little gown is made from a child's Onesy that I cut off and hemmed and it fits her perfectly.  I think I bought 0 to 3 months.  I wasn't sure about how she was going to take to this cause she doesn't wear dresses or anything but I knew she gets cold and likes to snuggle down under a quilt with me when we nap so I was hoping she would be happy about her gown.  Well she loves it and once I put it on  her, she snuggles down in her bed and goes off to sleep.

Well that's it for me this morning and I'm off to visit as many of the participating blogs as I can.

Scalloped Christmas Card......

Good morning everyone and welcome to another brand new week.  It seems the weeks are ticking off the calendar too fast to talk about and before you know it Christmas will be here!

This card is blue and white with pink and white flowers.  My camera doesn't like the darker blue and sees it as black.  Remember those picks I had sitting on my desk last Wednesday?  Here they are again after they have been glittered and added to this card.  Handmade pink and white poinsettia flowers and white scrunched seam binding adds the finishing touches to this latest Christmas card.  I hope you enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed making it!

WOYWW #331

Good morning friends!  Wednesday has rolled around again and it is time to show you what is on my workdesk this morning!  If you are interested in becoming one of us just hop over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  She has all the details listed there.  We would love to have you come join us!

I had to make a trip to Hobby Lobby yesterday to purchase some blades for my paper trimmer and came away with just a few little things.  Some pretty white floral picks that I envision cut apart and glittered to add to a card front for Christmas and a little bit of lace.  All the rest here on my desk is left over from another project.  Oh did you see my brand new Teal Grand Calibur?  I'm so happy to have this little lady sitting here.  My old one gave up the ghost last week and it had to go out in the trash.  I had used it every day for several years in my crafting life.  It was a work horse, so when it died, I couldn't really whine about it.  I started looking for the best price and shipping and think I found it so here it is, brand new with nice clean cutting plates!  I'm hoping this one lasts for a good long time!

Well that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can!

October Craft Hoarders Anonymous Hop.....

Good morning friends and welcome to the October "Hoarders Hop"!  It seems I have become a paper hoarder somewhere along the way.  When I first started crafting, I didn't use paper; I made my own backgrounds and that way I never worried about matching cause once finished with the image I just made my background match!  So through the years, like a true hoarder, I purchased and set aside.  When I came across this sheet of paper there were three coordinating pages so I took a deep breath and picked up my paper trimmer!  I love the beautiful coral, blues and tans and now that the deed is done, I feel so much better.  Now I have a gift from my heart for someone special.

The box below is all handmade and covered with the pretty paper and then I fussy cut the butterfly and made the little rose as well.

I also handmade the envelopes that fit the cards and now everything is tucked away inside it's own little box ready to go.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it!

You should be coming here from Jacquie's blog  After visiting me, hop over to Amber's blog next.  To start at the beginning of the hop, and for the full list of Bloggers, go to Gloria's Blog!

Pink Poinsettia Card.....

Good morning everyone and welcome to a soggy East Tennessee.  The temps are cool this morning and it has been raining for days.  I may be getting webbed feet!
This morning I'm sharing a Christmas card I have made and the Christmas card making begins.

First off, can I just say how difficult it is to photograph sparkle?  You have a gold background piece and then the snowflakes are glued to cardstock and then sprayed with adhesive and glittered.  Very pretty in real life but totally hard to photograph.  I also tied a piece of white tulle to go under the poinsettia and it isn't showing very well.  This is one of those cards that is just so much prettier in person!

Well it's Friday and we are skidding right into the weekend!  If you have plans, I hope you have great Fall weather!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday # 330

Good morning friends!  It's the middle of the week and time for me to show what is going on in my world!  Each week we take a photo of our desk and blog about it then link to Julia's blog.  I don't have a lot going on this week that I can show, so my desk looks pretty clean.

Hmmmm, I count 6 bottles of glue and three pairs of scissors!  Yes, I confess, I'm a hoarder of glue and never feel like I have all I need.  As for the scissors, I have one more pair that I use for cutting cloth and ribbon.  These black handled ones are for fussy cutting; the yellow handled ones are for general cutting and my Tim Holtz scissors are used for everything!  Love them!  The board to my right is my Envelope Punch Board by We Are Memory Keepers and I don't know if you can see it or not but that is sitting on my Big Shot.  My trusty Grand Calibur bit the dust two days ago.  It's one of those things that you use every day and never knew how much until it's gone!  The Big Shot is great but I find I have a difficult time trying to cut really intricate dies so I long for my Grand Calibur!

Well folks that is all for me this morning.  I'm off to link my blog and start the visits to everyone this morning.  I'm sure I'll find something to inspire me!

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday#329

Hello friends and welcome to my Wednesday WOYWW post where a bunch of crafters get together and blog about what we are doing in our world.  Julia  is the owner and creator of this wonderful idea and I have to admit I am totally addicted to this Wednesday get together!  Just photograph your space and blog about it and then link your blog post to Julia's blog. You can visit as many of the crafters as you like by following their links and it becomes this wonderful blog hop!  Julia has all the details posted on her blog so you can follow the link above to find out all about it!

I thought this morning I would start showing you how I store my dies.  It's sort of messy right now and nothing is in order but I can put my hand on almost any die I want, so it is working for me.  I've used CD and video cases with a bit of magnet inside to hold the dies in place.  Some of the Home Stores here carry a magnetic sheet used to cover a metal vent when you don't want heat or air coming through. These work wonderfully and are only a fraction of the cost if  you purchase in the hobby store.

Below is my mess this morning.  I could barely find a place to set my coffee cup down this morning!  I'm working on a waterfall page for my mini album and for some reason I really struggled trying to get it to lay correctly.  There was a miss measurement somewhere and I went through a couple of pieces of cardstock before I finally wrapped my head around it and got it right!  Sometimes I just can't seem to focus.  I'm going to blame it on old age and move on!

As you can see I have ink, bling, glue...lots of glue, some glitter, lace and string of pearls.  Once I finish covering the black cardstock with some of the pretty papers then I also get to decorate.  That's the fun part!

I hope I'm not too long winded this morning.  It's best to keep this short and sweet.  I'm hoping next week when you visit, I have a cleaner desk to show. Now I'm off to visit as many of the participating bloggers as I can.  Come join us!

Halloween....

Good morning everyone!  I'm here to share with you another card I have made. Halloween is just around the corner, and those who celebrate love to send bright and colorful cards to friends and family.  I send a few; not quite like I used to.

This is a quick and easy card using some of the bits and pieces in my scrap box on my desk.  A couple of pieces of Graphic 45 "An Erie Tale" paper mounted on a black card stock, make a flat style card that will be easy to mail.  I will make a homemade envelope to go along with this and this will be on it's way.
