Dogwoods and Doves....

Good morning friends.  I'm here this rainy Monday morning sharing a card I have made using the Heartfelt Creations Flowering Dogwood collection.  I love all things Heartfelt but this collection just speaks to me!  The beautiful papers and the lovely Dogwood flowers and of course the gorgeous doves.  I really want to do a mini album using these products and hopefully this is next on my list.  I'm trying my hand at a shutter card; it has been awhile and they can be difficult for me to figure out to make them lay the way they are supposed too.  I just needed a bit of practice and I think I'm back in the groove.

I had a lot of fun making this card and hope you enjoy it.  I think you will be seeing more of these cards in the future.  I will try not to do it to death buy I do like the look.

Well that's all from me this morning.  I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

This year I decided not to put in a vegetable garden and I still feel like I just can't keep up.  It must be the growing old process. Thank goodness these blooms don't require a lot of maintenance!  No watering or feeding required here.  So join me as I share another creation with you from the Classic Petunia Collection!

My card is 4 1/4  X  5 1/2.  Make card base (you can find instructions for these on YouTube or Split Coast Stampers by just keying in “Z-Fold Card”).  Cover the base papers from the paper collection.  Next I cut the 1” strip that allows the card to fold out into a Z.  Cover it with some of the paper as well.  Next I cut out the oval die using white and purple cardstock.  Stamp, cut out, color and glitter the two flamingos and when dry,  glue them onto the oval die cut.  I used some of the dimensional tape and glue to adhere it to the card front.  Stamp, cut out color and shape the flower petals and leaves; glitter the flower petals and set aside to dry.  Adhere them to the card around the bottom of the flamingos.  Cut out the word Aloha using teal card stock and glue it to the inside of the card.  The card is all ready to go!

My tag size is 3 1/8 X 6 1/4.  Pick out a piece of the paper collection and cover the tag.  I used Bamboo Leaves Memento ink to ink around the edges of the tag. Stamp, cut out, color and shape the love birds, flowers and leaves.  Add glitter to the flower petals and set aside to dry.  Cut out the word Aloha using teal paper and glue it to the top of the tag at a bit of an angle.  Next I used dimensional tape to adhere the love birds to the tag right under the word.  I placed the flowers and leaves where I thought they looked the best and glued them down. Tie some of the fibers in the hole of the tag and the tag is finished.  A very quick and easy project!
