Inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations.....

Good morning everyone!  As we continue along with the Sweet Peony Collection from Heartfelt Creations, I'm here to share a gift bag I made.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it.  In fact I made several while I was at it and gave to my neighbors with a small sweet treat tucked inside.

Instructions: Click here to view a larger photo of this project. There are many instructions for making a gift bag found on Pinterest and Splitcoast Stampers. I found one and made the bag using a piece of the pretty Sweet Peony Paper Collection then I began to decorate. I used the Velcro Dots for the closure on the bag flap and then die cut one of the ornate borders dies to add to the closure. I cut a coordinating piece of cardstock and then glued down the border die cut and then glued the paper piece over that. It gives the bag a very romantic feel.
I stamped the daisies using Rich Cocoa ink and then colored the centers of the flowers with Sap green. Next I shaped the flower petals with the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit and then added some glue to the center of the petals to glue down the Flower Soft. Set them aside to dry. I stamped the Sweet Peony petals with Berrylicious ink and also colored the edges with the same color. Next I stamped the leaves with Stazon Olive Green Ink. I used the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit again to shape all the leaves and petals. I created a cluster of flowers and leaves on the front of the bag and glued the pieces down. Once everything is dry the bag is finished. This makes a quick and easy gift bag and it becomes part of the gift.

A Fuchsia Celebration

Good morning everyone!  I'm here this morning to share another card using the Sweet Peony collection from Heartfelt Creations!  This is one of my favorites and I actually grow these in my yard!  Yesterday Spring came to East Tennessee and today we are back to winter and snow.  Just a light dusting but cold temps as well.  I'm so ready for warm temps and Peony blooms but until that happens I will settle for these gracing my card fronts!

Instructions: My card size is 5 x 7". Make card base and then emboss the pink cardstock and glue it down. Cut the medallion out of white cardstock and glue it down to the card front. Stamp the Peony flowers with the Berrylicious Ink and color them with this color as well. Stamp the daisies in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink and stamp the leaves with Olive Green Stazon Ink. Color with various inks and then cut everything out.
Run the petals through the mold and shape the flowers, then add the flower soft to the center of the daisies and set aside to dry. Once all the flowers are dry, decide where you want them over the medallion and glue them down. Pick a sentiment from the paper collection and use dimensional tape to adhere to card front. Glue a half pearl over the sentiment tag.

Sweet Peony Flowers are Blooming on my Craft Desk.....

Good morning everyone.  I'm here this morning to share these glorious flowers that are blooming in my craft room!  These sweet peony flowers have really taken over my heart right along with the Flowering Dogwoods and Lush Lilacs from Heartfelt Creations.  I know, I know .... I say that about each every flower Heartfelt Creations releases but I just love flowers and try as I might to love each release equally, we all have our favorites.  So this week I have been playing with the Peony flower and here is what my desk looked like for a day or two.  They are all decked out in their ruffles and ready for just a bit of glitter and they will be ready to grace a card or two!

I used the Art Foam Paper from Heartfelt Creations to make these and feel like they turned out pretty well.  What do you think?  They were stamped in the same color I used to color the edges with so you have to look really close to see the detail of the petals.

Instructions: My finished card is 5 x 7". I made the card base from instructions on Pinterest.   I cut two pieces of cardstock 10 X 7 and scored both at 5” and 7 1/2”.  Glue two pieces together making a card base of  7” X 15”.
I covered the panels inside and out with pieces of the paper collection. I cut a piece of white cardstock 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 and covered with another piece of the paper collection. I also stamped a sentiment on this panel with black ink. I glued it down just on the left-hand side so it wouldn't interfere with the opening of the card. I made a second panel identical to the first and stamped a sentiment on it as well and then glued it to the inside, so it would cover the plain cardstock back.
Next, I fussy cut a piece of the paper to make a pocket for the inside center panel. I used Scor-Tape to adhere it to the panel, so I could slip tags down inside. I cut out tags from the paper Collection and tied ribbon through them and slipped them inside the pocket.
To make the bellyband I measured a piece of white cardstock 2" wide by enough to reach around the card and lap over a bit. Make sure you allow a bit more so it will slide up and down over the card. Cut out two pieces of the decorative die and glue them to the edges of the belly band. I then covered it with piece of the decorative paper collection.
Stamp and cut out the flower petals, leaves and other elements using coordinating inks. I colored and then shaped the flower petals with the mold and continued shaping with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Add some glue to the flower petals and sprinkle the Crystal Clear over them. Set aside to dry. I also colored and shaped the leaves and set them aside to dry. Then the little flower I stamped, cut out and added the shaved ice and set aside to dry as well. Once all were dry I glued it all down and then found a sentiment on the paper collection and cut it out and used dimensional tape to adhere to the bellyband

Instructions: Make card base; you can find instructions on Pinterest or Splitcoast Stampers for making a side step card. See here. Cover the card with pieces of the paper collection. Cut two ovals and using dimensional tape, adhere them together and then glue down on the card. Using Sweet Plum ink, stamp the sentiment onto the scroll on the paper.
Using Elderberry Memento Ink stamp the lilac petals and color using a dauber and Pearlescent Orchid ink. Using coordinating die cut out the petals and run through the die cutting machine with the Lush Lilac Mold. I shaped a bit more using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Glue half pearls to the center of each petal. When the glue is dry add the flowers to the oval piece and allow that to dry. Next I cut out the lilac scroll from the paper collection. The die fit perfectly so it becomes very easy to let the paper do the heavy lifting. Glue the die cut piece to one of the steps and add lilacs to it. I added three lilacs to another step just to give a bit more color and dimension. Pick out a sentiment from the paper collection and using dimensional tape, adhere it to one of the steps. My card is finished.
